The best hack productivy so far in 2025

Hey there, 👋

I'm a French blogger writing about productivity, AI, and web marketing who currently diving deep into Amplenote. According to me, one of the most valuable discoveries often comes from personal experimentation rather than following established frameworks.

The technique itself:

The best productivity technique I have implemented — which I haven't read about anywhere or learned from anyone — is surprisingly simple.

The idea is to create a moment of intentional break.

When your workday is over and you've had your evening meal, take fifteen minutes to consider the activity you would genuinely like to engage in. This enables you to truly do what you want to do, rather than what feels easiest in the moment.

Before picking up your smartphone, turning on your TV, your console, or anything else, take those fifteen minutes to think about what you really want to accomplish. This allows us to distinguish between mindless consumption and intentional choice.

That way, you'll actually do what aligns with your deeper intentions: watch an episode (if that's genuinely what you need), write an article, play a game on your PS5, or tackle that personal project you've been postponing.

This method works because it interrupts the automatic transition from work mode to whatever's easiest mode. Even if the technique seems almost too simple, it creates space for authentic choice, even if si that choice ends up being the same activity you would have defaulted to anyway.

The funny thing is that I discovered that this technique was part of a study at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience in Marseille on this subject, the results of which are as follows:

  • +31% creativity after 2 weeks
  • 25% reduction in perceived stress -18% improvement in sleep quality

What's your go-to technique for making intentional choices about your evening time?
