I was just getting sick of using Notion plus task management software (I was using Todoist). Amplenote has been a game changer for me.
Been using Amplenote for 2 weeks now, and I can confidently say that I would do a complete migration from the apps I've used for the past 3 years: Notion for note-taking, Obsidian for brainstorming and Excalidraw, TickTick for calendar and task management. It feels much more minimalistic and decluttered than all my previous apps.
As I see it, Amplenote's learning curve is so much lower than even Notion, Airtable, Walling, X-tiles, Capacities, or Anytype, just to name a few. You're moving towards the best note app, best todo app, best calendar app, and best PKM app — without the learning curve.
I've tried a million apps to organize myself along a hybrid of GTD/GSD. Most recently, I'd been experimenting with Joplin and Notion. Every app I've tried was more trouble than it's worth — and required too much time to manage. The Amplenote idea execution funnel follows my daily work pattern and was a very natural fit. I used Obsidian for a long time, trying Notion, RemNote, Supernotes and most of the second-tier ones as well. Amplenote is easily the best. Beyond being surprisingly feature complete, you've built something that is approachable and usable for the casual user but wildly customizable for the power user.
The offline support is amazing, as I frequently work in environments with poor connectivity. For all the competitors I tried (Wrike, ClickUp, Notion, Logseq, OneNote, MS Project), the main dealbreaker was app speed and offline support — none of them hold a candle to Amplenote.
I tried Bear, Notion, Obsidian, Nimbus, and Craft. Amplenote was better, more intuitive and easier to use than all of these, hands down.
