Do I still need my own API keys? +
Not for the core AmpleAI suite — thesaurus, text continuation, summarization, and all standard features work immediately. For Deep Research, you can optionally add your own API keys for additional frontier models to unlock multi-provider research. Does this replace my Amplenote subscription? +
No. Ample Agent Pro is a plugin subscription that adds AI capabilities on top of your existing Amplenote account. Your plan (Personal, Pro, Unlimited) remains separate.
Do I need a paid subscription plan to use Ample Agent Pro? +
No. Ample Agent Pro is a plugin subscription that adds AI capabilities on top of your existing Amplenote account. It works with any Amplenote plan, including free accounts.
How do I install the plugin? +
After subscribing, visit the Plugin Directory and install "Ample Agent Pro." It activates automatically across web, desktop, and mobile. Features appear in the slash menu, Quick Open, and text selection toolbar.
What's different from the free AmpleAI plugin? +
The free plugin requires you to bring your own API keys for all features. Ample Agent Pro includes AI access out of the box, plus exclusive agents: Task Agent, Note Agent, Deep Research, Dashboard intelligence, and smart task filing. Ample Agent Pro is also being updated regularly, whereas AmpleAI is in maintenance mode.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Yes. Cancel from your Amplenote account settings at any time. You'll retain access through the end of your current billing period.
