Do I need my own API key?
Not for the "core" Ample Agent feature suite. However, we strongly recommend adding provider keys to unlock access to frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and Grok when you need them.
Is this separate from an Amplenote subscription?
Yes, Ample Agent Pro is a separate plugin that provides AI access & functionality for $8/month. You do not need to be an Amplenote subscriber to purchase Ample Agent Pro.
How much included AI does this get me?
The number of non-research queries that can be made (e.g., thesaurus, task suggestions, dashboard goals) is essentially unlimited, unless you run out of quota using agents. The note & task agents can be used around 20-40 times per month. Your current quota use can be monitored by checking "/quota"
