“The best note-taking app, especially for people who write. It has a steep learning curve at first, but afterwards it has the potential to organize your entire life.”

50 Just as good on mobile
I don't know if they believed me when I told them the application is just as good on mobile and it's not just for "quick capture."

“Hi, just wanted to say thanks for developing such a great app! It has everything I used to like about Evernote without the icky changes they’ve made in recent years. I’m also deeply grateful for the free version and plan to upgrade to Pro or Unlimited once I’m no longer a part-time student hemorrhaging money. Thanks for being good humans!”
Alternative_FIsh_27 · May 2026“Amplenote is one of the few services I'm willing to pay premium for. Truly brilliant. If you want to integrate the GTD methodology into your own life, I've found no better tool than Amplenote.”
Brian · May 2026“The Amplenote system is not quite like anything else out there. It is not infinitely customizable and instead implements an opinionated model of one way to balance high-level goals with day-to-day implementation. The system may not be for you! (I’m not 100% sure it is for me.) Nonetheless, the app is a solid implementation and deserves its rating. Smooth implementation of an opinionated system”
aelscha · May 2026“For me what makes this app so different, and such a joy to use, is the fact that you generate tasks and notes in the same interface. Your note includes the tasks, and then you find all your tasks in the separate task view. No more isolated to do lists, but rather connections between your work and notes and the resulting to-dos. Amazing”
Christoph · May 2026“Why only 6 reviews here on the AppStore? I’m a new joiner, giving 5 stars upfront because I really like the devs mindset and transparency. Good job! Can’t wait to try it out for the first couple of weeks! 5 stars upfront!”
Tommasoz · May 2026“The best alternative to Evernote. The only down side is it took a few days to figure out how to sync to Google Calender. All the list and videos forget to mention to add tags. I added all my tags and now I can add a task date to a note and it is on Google Calender. Nice to be able to change it on Calender and it changes on note. Very fast updating notes. If you don't want to pay the expensive Evernote, definitely try this app.”
Chris · May 2026“Love the combo of notes, tasks, and calendar Favorite not-taking app”
Jaimeb007 · Apr 2026“So glad that I found Amplenote. It is a fabulous replacement for an app that I had been using. The simple approach, with its auto-save function, is a great find. I encourage anyone to explore this amazing phone/computer application to find out for yourself how wonderful it is. (My former app has betrayed me with its increased advertising AND its annoying appendages to my text messages. That was an act which I could not tolerate) Thanks again Amplenote”
Michael · Apr 2026“For my needs, this is the best implementation of combined notes, tasks and calendar in a single app that I have used.”
Craig · Jan 2026“I switched from Todoist and Notion to Amplenote because it combines these two apps so well. Yes, task entry in Todoist is more intuitive and the Llama Life integration is nice, but Amplenote offers much more for a generally more organized workflow, which I really appreciate. I not only have the list here, but also background information on the tasks. And the Victory Value sorts them for me, which is also very helpful.”
Roberta · Dec 2025“Amplenote has been incredible so far. I work in medical device sales and I’m also a startup founder, so I’m constantly wearing a lot of hats. Having a reliable system for capturing notes has always been a challenge—most scheduling tools are terrible for note-taking, and most note-taking apps don’t integrate well with time-blocking, task management, or calendar planning. Amplenote finally brings all of that together. Being able to start every idea in Jots, then seamlessly turn those thoughts into tasks, events, or follow-ups, has been a game-changer. Over the past month I’ve had a genuine shift in my productivity, and Amplenote has played a big part in that. Highly recommend. Game Changer!! Notes quickly become Tasks, Scheduling, and Calendar”
PLURAHGP · Dec 2025“The app is excellent. I've only just begun using it, but it already offers significantly more functionality than Google Keep. I was specifically searching for an app with expanded capabilities, and this one is meeting all my requirements so far.”
Jon · Dec 2025“Great writing experience from the app. Very fast and widget make it very straight forward, without any obstacles to write down your ideas. Feels like Evernote back when it was good.”
Michael · Nov 2025“I was able to gather everything in one app without needing to use Google Keep, Obsidian, or TickTick. Its annual fee is also the most affordable among those I've tried (and I've tried many cross-platform apps). Oddly enough, I hadn't bothered trying it because reviews said it was very expensive; I installed it just to see how expensive it could be, and I fell in love. They've implemented regional pricing and combined everything that separate apps do into one. What more could you ask for?”
Taylan · Nov 2025“excelent app that unites many organising tools into one”
Arthur · Nov 2025“I came to this app straight from the most convoluted of all Notion setups. I had reminders for different subjects in (don’t judge me) 3 different apps as well. My calendar was in Google calendar, having no desktop app bugged me to no end, and I was looking for an alternative for my PKM. Amplenote has replaced all of it. I won’t lie and say there’s no learning curve, but it follows the general flow of most tried and true productivity models (BASB, GTD, etc.) especially if you tweak your tag setup a bit. I know where the info I need is. I’m pushed to make more tasks and less useless note piles. It’s using literally HALF the memory on my laptop that Notion would take, not to mention no longer needing to run a separate task list at all, and the phone widget is awesome to boot. Community plugins are well made, responses to feedback and community voting boards help prioritize new features. The developers genuinely seem to care. It takes some learning up front, but not as much as you think. Give it a try. Worth the (relatively short) Learning Curve”
randomguyTC · Nov 2025“I've recently adopted this app and I'm really enjoying it! It has some unique features - like the daily-jot, (to quickly capture those ideas & actions that come to you), and actions that disappear when completed! This keeps it clear and focussed. I'm still learning but so far it's coping with my way of life!”
Trevor · Nov 2025“I’ve been using Amplenote since 2022 and every time I take a break from the app, I regret it and end up right back here. Nothing else is as thoughtfully designed or as capable. The free tier has a lot of features and the whole product just respects my time. Would heavily recommend giving it a try! Give it a try!”
Reviews · Nov 2025“I have to say that I was impressed by this app ! I tested a lot of todo apps but it was always missing something. I am happy I found this one (actually advised by ChatGPT :D ) The free version is completely enough, I subscribe to the Pro version for the google agenda sync and the links between notes. Support seem reactive too. Keep up the good work !”
Christelle · Nov 2025“I’ve only been using Amplenote a week, but it’s already been really helpful for me! I got it for the task/calendar integration. What I actually really like is being able to see a comprehensive list of tasks based off of different notes. So I can see, for example, my kitchen tasks alongside my plant care tasks. The task priority system helps me figure out what to do and not get so overwhelmed with everything. If you need to upgrade your simple to-do lists to a more powerful task management system, this is the perfect app! Great for managing different sets of tasks”
halcyon4575 · Nov 2025“A wee bit of feedback - loving the new displays of tasks in the apps - task stats are awesome and being able to see the score contrasted to the previous month is motivating. Love the task streaks too, a wee bit of gamification only encourages use for me! I am wayy on the autistic side but the little ADHD traits i have respond well to these tools and how they encourage me to use the app and thus organsie myself better.”
Will · Oct 2025“My notetaking/PKI journey went OneNote > Amplenote > Obsidian > Heptabase > Confluence Cloud > Amplenote. If you’re trying to actually get stuff done, Amplenote is the app to use. From the big things like Exchange Online integration and backlinks to the small things like efficiently nesting endless combinations of bullet points and task items, Amplenote stands apart and ahead of it’s competitors in a market that is saturated with contenders. Don’t Try to Recreate the Wheel”
BraveNewInternet · Oct 2025“Excellent app because it allows you to place tasks created in it on your choice of 3rd party calendar.”
Donald · Oct 2025“Amazing app! Hands down the best note-taking, to-do list, calendar app there is. It is easy to get into, and the more you use it, the more you learn how to really get the most out of it.”
Jim · Sep 2025“Alright, I am going to update my review. I have been using Amplenote for over 2 years now. I have had the occasional thought that I should switch to another application but I just can’t find one that fits my needs as consistently and well as this application. I still love using it and am someday I hope to extend it with my own plugins (but doing what I can, one at a time right now) Finally an way for me to organize”
weijiajun · Sep 2025“Really good for a free note taking app. Desktop web client and sync makes it really great! Definitely get the paid plan if you can”
Hissatsu · Sep 2025“Been using this for about a month now. Very user-friendly. Not loaded with bloated functions. Highly recommend. Superior App”
Apoth383 · Sep 2025“I've used many others (PKM's), but Amplenote is the best for journalling and task/project management. it's quick and easy. plenty of ways to capture as well as find your information. The Amplenote documentation and videoes are well structured and concise. At last a PKM that is easy and enjoyable!”
Steve · Aug 2025“Best note taking app for productivity, lets you embed almost anything(canva designs, google sheets can be edited right in the note, youtube videos, and anything you can think of), has extremely powerful task management with prioritisation, scheduling, deadlines, recurring tasks, chained tasks, and lets you schedule all of that into your google or apple calendar. you can share notes and all their links as complex webpages that are always in sync with your knowledge base. There‘s tons of amazing plugins that let you expand the functionality even further! Hands down best note taking app ever. Finally a company that actually makes stuff usable! Helps you get your thoughts organized, turn them into actions and schedule them into your calendar!”
RafaelB6188455183 · Aug 2025“I'm absolutely loving Amplenote! The offline capabilities are a game-changer for me, and the backup system gives me peace of mind. I also appreciate the emphasis on privacy - it's great to know my notes are secure. The interface is super simple and intuitive, making it easy to jot down notes and tasks. Plus, the calendar syncing feature is seamless. Overall, Amplenote has become my go-to note-taking app - highly recommend! Best note taking + task management app so far”
bschrj · Aug 2025“As an autistic person I honestly don’t know what I’d do without Amplenote!!! It’s been such a lifesaver and given me a way to bring some structure to my life and apprenticeship, and I can really feel all the thought and care that’s gone into building it 🖤The oneee thing I keep wishing for is a way to colour text on iOS (it would make organising my notes SO much easier). Thank you so much for making such a genuinely helpful app! LIFESAVING APP….but text colour on IOS pls :)))”
APHELION08 · Aug 2025“Best notes app I've ever used by far. It keeps things simple while offering all the features I actually need. I'm more organised, I've taken what I kept in multiple different apps and now it's all in one place. It matches the way my brain likes to sort information. Highly recommended!”
Alex · Aug 2025“I’ve been using Amplenote for a bit now and have enjoyed how much I’ve been able to do within this one app. I love the ease of onboarding and the intuitive workflow that facilitates moving from ideas to execution. I like that it is cross platform and so far syncing has been great. I love that it seems to still be continually developed and improved. Kudos to the Amplenote team for such a fantastic product. Fantastic productivity tool”
Tnan123 · Aug 2025“After years of looking for a replacement for Evernote, I stumbled across Amplenote 3 years ago. I love that they are a small company committed to productivity, innovation, and the fact that you are in control of your data! The way they structured notetaking, jots, and tasks with a calendar integration is excellent. I use the “Building a Second Brain” methodology for organizing my digital life and Amplenote fits right in. By by sticky notes! It doesn’t try to do too much which was my struggle with Notion or OneNote. It’s intuitive, powerful and great on desktop or mobile! I love the price point and the values they stand behind as a company. In a world of big tech and bad tech - they standout as a company doing it well! Switch to AmpleNote and you won’t be disappointed. I’d Be Lost Without Amplenote!”
DGBJR81 · Aug 2025“Hello from Nigeria. I started with Obsidian, then moved to Logseq, Anytype and finally Standard Notes before watching the Shu Omi video that pointed me here. Love this app. It just works! Very intuitive too, even though I am about to watch all the tutorial vids just to really get the little nuances. Looking forward to learning from you guys! 🙏”
Boonierat · Jul 2025“As a professor in the humanities, I have recently begun using Amplenote and am exceptionally impressed. It seamlessly bridges the gap from idea to execution—a critical workflow for any academic. It is invaluable for outlining articles, linking research notes, and turning lecture prep into manageable tasks. The ability to move from insight to a scheduled task in one ecosystem is a significant advantage. Highly recommended for colleagues seeking a robust, all-in-one solution.”
Antonio · Jul 2025“Incredible. I am in love. I have had all the GTD 2DO apps…all of them, and this thing rocks! There’s a new sheriff in town and it’s AMPLENOTE”
Desiknow · Jul 2025“So far so good. Slight learning curve because the potential utilisation for this app is HUGE. I'm still working out how best to use. The app seems to be running smoothly on my phone and I love the real time sync.”
Jackie · Jul 2025“Hi folks. I was an avid Amplenote user before, then lost my way looking at shiny objects (Capacities, Twos, Logseq). But alas, reliability issues, mobile use, and unable to find the right combination of simplicity and depth for my note taking - I have found my way back. AN is really such a quality product and experience. Keep it up devs - and thank you! (Pro user)”
Kramiam · Jun 2025“Came here as a replacement for Evernote and it's much better. no endless nagging to subscribe. Functionality is good. Periodically the app locks up and only Un and reinstalling fixes it which is annoying.”
Nim · Jun 2025“Love this note taking app. simple, yet rich of features including sync between web and mobile. I can only afford as free personal user for simple note taking & keeping, but I really appreciate that free users are not restricted from basic and necessary features unlike other similar apps. Please keep up the great job, I will keep using Amplenote.”
トキ · Jun 2025“One of the great apps for task and knowledge management they adjusted the task system to be better”
Abdelrahman · Jun 2025“At the end, it is precisely what I'm looking for: a place where I can jot my ideas down, make some of them grow and add some task/reminds of things to do without thinking too much where to place them because AN makes the task list for me. And it allows me to see my Outlook calendar.”
planetareynoso · May 2025“I feel like I fall in love with this app every time I pick it up again after a while; like calling an old friend after a couple years like nothing changed but everything is better!”
Timoy · May 2025“I love amplenote especially the phone app. I use it every day to keep track of my horses training schedules and what the horse did that day and how long each exercise was performed. keeping track on paper is impossible to keep up with. I can open amplenote in any arena and know exactly what was done yesterday or last week.”
Judy · May 2025“user-friendly, Informative Guides,REAL all in one, truly helpful and intuitive, Thank you forever”
Nour · May 2025“So far so good. I needed a notes app with cloud sync and multiple levels of organization. I'm using the app to create sets of notes for characters, lore, plot, points, etc. for a novel I'm working on, and the ability to create tags within a tag is the perfect means of organizing my notes with room for another novel/project in the future. And, I can add to my notes from multiple devices. Great app so far!”
Anthony · May 2025“This is the next gen of productivity apps with a uniquely simple workflow. Start out with jots and refine them to notes. Schedule the action items and rejoice. It’s a great tool for those looking to collect and focus their ideas. Bravo! A powerhouse app for this former Evernote user”
sean808080 · May 2025“I'm a pro user, and I absolutely love Amplenote. I spent a couple months going through different apps to try to find one that was a good fit for me. I didn't know if I wanted to have separate apps for PKM, project mgmt, and tasks/calendar, or try to fit everything in one app. I was leaning towards having different apps for different areas, but when I found Amplenote, I was surprised that it does such a good job handling everything, and gracefully at that! I bought a new phone and tablet”
Matthew · Apr 2025“Hi everyone! I don't know if this is the right place to give my experience of Amplenote. But... Been using Amplenote for 2 weeks now, and I can confidently say that I would do a complete migration from these apps I've been using for the past 3 years: Notion for note-taking, Obsidian for brainstorming and Excalidraw, TickTick for calendar and task management. As a power user myself, I kept being baffled by so many hidden features I noticed that I didn't think I ever needed, but practically become very useful to me in Amplenote. I love how opinionated the app is, and all of it makes sense (besides a few quirks I would mention). Feels much more minimalistic and decluttered from all my previous apps. Especially Notion, as I realized that I actually never really need an advanced database system like Notion. It's definitely such a productivity boost. I consider subscribing for a whole year (and might check some plugin development as well!!).”
Myu · Apr 2025“I really appreciate the fact that this app ties together note-taking with task tracking and day planning. I was pretty settled on using obsidian for its excellent backlink functionality and customizability, but amplenote’s plugin support is pretty good (though the ecosystem seems smaller). Overall a big fan! Really slick workflow”
nomin8 · Apr 2025“I'm surprised by the low ratings some people have given here and left. Please note – most of the issues people are complaining about have already been fixed! The developer is very responsive. The price is also currently reasonable (though most features are available for free). So far, I see this as one of the best services for managing notes and tasks. I'm very grateful to the developer for their work; the app looks very good. Please don't change the design too much; it's the best 🥇”
Иван · Apr 2025“Don't dismiss this application because of the difficult start. I admit, it takes some getting used to, but it's really worth it! If you're looking for something whose functionality is close to Notion but is much lighter and runs much faster, then learning this application is worth the effort. Furthermore, it offers many ready-made API modifiers, allowing you to perfectly tailor it to your needs, or even create your own advanced modifications. I am impressed, it's powerhouse of possibilities.”
Patryk · Apr 2025“This is the productivity app I've been wanting for years. Either rooted in deep note-taking or task management, most digital productivity apps are deeply focused in one corner of the digital productivity space. I wanted one with which I could manage a personal knowledge database, personal project formulation and execution, and advanced task management with a calendar. Having tried a few picks, Amplenote was the only application that handled it all beautifully without sacrificing functionality!”
Matthew · Apr 2025“I honestly love how they have a method. normally I really struggle with note taking because I have small thoughts that just need to be jotted down. They also have a longer form option for longer notes. I have been truly enjoying this app. Thank you Amplenotes team and the community!”
Keira · Apr 2025“Amplenote revolutionized the way I organize my work and life, by cleverly orchestrating my notes, tasks and calendar in a seamless and intuitive way. Now work seems easy”
john_raposo · Apr 2025“Amplenote offers the perfect mix of notes and tasks management and its features are extended with plugins.”
Mathieu · Apr 2025“Finally a note taking app that gets it all. Really appreciate how the team is responsive across channels and factors user needs rather than adding features for the sake of it. I hope this app sustains for a long time.”
Pratik · Apr 2025“There's no Portuguese (Brazil) translation; the idea of having "control" of everything at your fingertips without needing three separate tools is brilliant, but the layout could be greatly improved.”
Marco · Apr 2025“I just want to say that from a distance i admire @amplenote and team so much. the way they ship, the way they write and run a transparent business is just such a class act. great product that i always want to find an excuse to use. if i had an extra gazillion dollars id invest.”
Gene · Mar 2025“I am new to Amplenote but already finding it incredibly helpful and motivating. I am attempting to set mine up as a sort of second brain. This app can really replace dozens of others if you use it correctly. I am currently taking a computer science certification course, and the note-taking has been next level with nested headers (there is a plug-in) and tags. I can even embed YouTube videos, all my bookmarks, screenshots, etc. I think I may even bite the bullet and subscribe to Pro.”
Grrraffe_vr · Mar 2025“I love this app. I recently started a far more complex job, it has me dipping my toes in a lot of very different areas. I also have to schedule a lot of work time on projects and such, amplenotes has allowed me to keep track of all of this. I love being able to take notes and leave tasks right in the note. It's letting me keep a lot more ideas and action steps on the table that otherwise may have been forgotten.”
RudyRobinChaux · Mar 2025“Good morning. After going back and forth in the last decade between different tools (I'd say 100s of them) I think I finally find with Amplenote one that fits to my workflow. It's not the most beautiful, and I'd love that it doesn't feel like a 90s tool in the future, but it fits 100% to my flow.”
Stefan · Mar 2025“After many hours of research and trial and error I found an app that works for me. With amplenote i was able to declutter all the productivity apps and centralize my planning and organization into one app. No more context switching while storing information in my knowledge base and then setting tasks and planning them in my calendar. Im able to brainstorm, narrow down whats in my head, and plan my week accordingly to accomplish more towards my goals than ever before. Seriously, it’s addicting having tangible tasks that just work for once. Ill never be able to go back to my old systems, i plan to use amplenote from here on out. A productivity game changer”
Choclat8 · Mar 2025“I’ve used them all guys. Trello, asana, Monday, Notion, you name it, I’ve used it. I don’t know how I didn’t hear about AmpleNote before! I was on Reddit and someone suggested I try it. I started a new gig and have been using this for the last few weeks while I’m onboarding and shadowing. It’s been perfect to keep track of notes and tasks — but don’t get me started on the calendar portion and moving your tasks to your calendar. I mean! That’s one of my fave features. I could talk about this platform for a while So happy I found AmpleNote, I’m obsessed!!!”
loudanow · Mar 2025“You won’t find any other app with this set of features. The way that tasks are integrated with notes and automatically float to the top based on urgency, importance and other factors is exactly what I want and need. I love that I can have tasks depend on each other in an intuitive and attractive way. And that add a powerful calendar view on top of all that. Amazing! A super unique life organization tool”
phatmann · Mar 2025“One of the best all in one apps for note taking, task time management. Great options, but it’s fair to say the app has a learning curve. Great all in one app”
DirkBosman · Mar 2025“There are countless note applications out there, but only few for professionals. Amplenote is quite professional: + security (encryption) + search in embedded pdf documents + uniting tasks, calendar and notes + web publishing notes + very quick sync; - the user interface could be a little bit easier to access. Conclusion: not cheap, but every cent worth. Notes, calendar and tasks for pros”
bigbangproposals · Mar 2025“I've been using Amplenote for a few months now and I'm liking it more and more. I can see that the developers are dedicated and are always improving the application. For me, this is the best tool for managing notes, tasks, and calendars all in one place.”
Michael · Mar 2025“The creators have clearly put a ton of intention and care into the design of this app. I love the process integrated into the app from brainstorm to action. It’s intuitive and effective. There is an initial learning curve that is worth committing to, I’d say 1-2 weeks of consistent use of the app. They do a good job building tutorial into the app itself. This app has rolled into the spotlight of my productive stack which includes Apple calendar and Notion. So far, obsessed”
Dmills93 · Mar 2025“Amplenote is great!!!!!! I really love the fact that you can have it both in laptop and phone. Love the mobile accessibility very convenient.”
Sophia · Mar 2025“I've been using Amplenote for two years as of this month and just convinced my friend to get the app and now he wants the pro version 😄 . Most recently I've been using Amplenote to keep track of my audit clients (dragging tasks between notes in peek viewer and the main view is my favorite tool to use for this), study for CPA licensing exams, and archive old poetry/draft new poems. This app has changed my life in a way no other software has even come close and I absolutely love it.”
Bucky · Feb 2025“First, I want to say that I LOVE your app. 🤩 It has helped me save money, organize myself and eliminated my need for Evernote, OmniFocus and other apps competing in the genre. Thank you!”
Derek · Feb 2025“You Amplenote is a winner! Already purchased license and tole multiple friends about it! Thanks!!!!”
Freyr · Feb 2025“Have found it 2023, paused and came back because I love the concept of tasks related to notes, task management incl daily notes taking, routines. And best app for GTD/ZDT!! In love”
Wuuwuu90 · Feb 2025“I’ve been using Amplenote for a few weeks, and it’s a huge upgrade from keep or apple notepad. The search is very powerful, highly recommend! Super easy and helpful”
Bigfntuna · Feb 2025“This is a serious app for serious users. Need a Second Brain? Done. Need to develop and organize manuscipts? Done. Need to keep meeting notes, daily notes, track projects, organize your personal life? Done. This is a powerful but opinionated tool. Amplenote doesn't follow the herd. They develop features on an as-needed basis. That limits the bells and whistles, but not to its detriment. On mobile, it is fast, and fast matters. I use it for Daily Notes collecting info and drafting projects.”
Joshua · Feb 2025“I'm still learning how to use it but so far I think this will solve the issues I was having with tasks and project management in different tools. As a long time Todoist user, I was super skeptical about liking a different task management system. This was a little bit of a chore to use because it just works differently. But I LOVE being able to write tasks onto notes as project pages so that I can look for tasks either by date or by project.”
Lindsey · Feb 2025“Not sure where to post this message, but I wanted to give a big SHOUT OUT to the AmpleNote team for their OCR feature. I just uploaded a fairly scratchy and somewhat average quality docket and the program recognised EVERYTHING in the upload. I honestly didn't think the program would read much of it at all. I'm really impressed. Great work AmpleNote. Thanks for the great product.”
darb_skinwah · Jan 2025“This app has changed my understanding of what a note-taking app can be. It's been extremely useful to me. It constantly helps me clear my mind and have productive days via its tasks and daily jots system, which are both very simple and efficient. Besides that, I love that I can basically use it like a frontend app via its plugin system, which makes it incredibly customizable and takes its usefulness to a whole other level.”
Matei · Jan 2025“Altho the UI can look slightly misaligned with the competitors, I love it! It is simple, well organised and clear. The app itself is snappy, fast and responsive on any device and on the web-app version. It has the right amount of features to be highly effective and simple to use. Love it and hopefully it keeps its simplicity in the future! Amazing”
Matteo · Jan 2025“Amplenote just works. Capture your thoughts. Expand those ideas into notes. Within those notes, create tasks. Assign tasks to calendars. Your to-do list is set. It's not always that simple since we, as humans, tend to complicate things, but this format works. No creating a process flow like other apps. No need to install plug-ins to get the basics covered. Like I said, it just works. Love that I can be on a Chromebook, tablet, PC, or phone and be able to do whatever I need in a jiffy. 5+ stars”
Erwin · Jan 2025“I used many apps for projects, note taking and calendar management, Amplenote beats them all. I keep trying other apps and each time Amplenote always stays ahead. Simple to use. Connects with my calendar nicely. Can calendarise my To Do List easily.”
Kudzai · Dec 2024“If Real Humans made a note taking app it would be this one. It is this one. Very well made tool, made by people prioritizing the long-term support and functionality of their product over profit or trendiness. Highly recommended.”
treelorh · Dec 2024“i love the idea of jots, notes, tasks, and calendar. it is the perfect workflow for me to actually get things done and not spend so much time organizing or figuring out how to the app. simple, easy to use productivity app”
hi.im.evelyn · Dec 2024“Amplenote is the perfect balance between a library-esque note organizer and a creative second-brain space. Been trying to find something to streamline my reliance on a notes app, tasks app, and multiple calendars, while desiring to also do daily journaling and project management. There is a learning curve and it isn't always intuitive, but that is in part because there is nothing else quite like it. It really shines on desktop, mobile leaves a bit to be desired but is a good companion.”
Jeremiah · Dec 2024“I played with every note app you can imagine. I just like the way amplenote pulls it all together”
David · Dec 2024“Amplenote is superior in many ways, so left Evernote and never looked back. I was getting tired of their constant limitations and cut backs to pressure into upgrading. Not to mention their constant updates because of bug fixing. Ditch Evernote!!”
Waltman73 · Dec 2024“As written, a simple solution that none other app provides. Even notion doesn’t have offline support. If there’s a feature I may request it is the ability to create breaks in a paragraph just like the desktop version with a shift plus enter. Mobile version can’t do that. Due to AN’s flexibility u can create a system however u desire. The ONLY great note app with offline access”
Hohoh10056 · Dec 2024“Amplenote meets ~85% of my PKM and task management needs, which is better than any other app I have used or tested. The UI and UX could do with a refresh.”
Allan · Dec 2024“After trying a bunch of different note app and fallen into the productivity pitfall, this is the app that really helps me clear my thoughts and be more productive. I write everyday and have captured ideas that I would be too lazy to write down. Thank you! Great app!”
ptrln0216 · Nov 2024“I have been using 2 planners and my iPhone notes app to keep track of everything to do. I have dates and events in one note and another note of things that are current todos. Every week, I plan my week and write it in a weekly planner. Each day, I plan out my next day and time block it in a time block calendar. It works but it is a lot of effort. I had been searching for an app to do it all but with no luck. Todoist didn’t work for me. I had planned to code my own app but luckily came across Amplenote. This is a game changer! It lets me do everything in one place. It took a while to set everything up but now that I’ve been using it for a few weeks, I love it! I have retired the paper planners and use Amplenote for almost everything. It is truly incredible how flexible it is. Amazing tool!”
Kl7123 · Nov 2024“This app is really easy to get set up with and start taking notes and organizing work. For me it strikes a great balance between being powerful enough to do the things I want, without being overwhelmed by the millions of settings.”
Lukas · Nov 2024“One of the best note taking app that includes task management and inbuilt calander”
Yavnik · Nov 2024“The main thing I love about Amplenote is how it approaches my to do list and integrates it into all my digital spaces. It has made keeping track of my to dos a lot easier by centralizing all of the different to do items onto the main Task sidebar page. For past note taking apps, I always lost track of the to-do items across the countless note pages than spanned weeks and months. Amplenote saves me 100% here. I can then simply drag and drop the task items into my integrated Google and Outlook calendars for easy scheduling. Amplenote has been a significant contributor to my organization and productivity! Flexibility, Simplicity, Structure, and depth combined!”
The · Nov 2024“Just what I was looking for! After trying apps/programs like Todoist. Amplenote is excellent for combining my notes and tasks.”
Gabriel · Nov 2024“Amplenote has revolutionized the way I organize my personal knowledge, to-dos, and project organization. Truly unique and worth the learning curve.”
Grady · Oct 2024“This is the todo list app I've been looking for for years. The capabilities and detail you can put into repeating/recurring tasks make it ideal for remembering all the tasks you have to do throughout the week. I also really love the developers attention to efficiency and speed of data entry, in addition to their commitment to privacy and security. Amazing job guys. I will definitely be using Amplenote for a long time.”
Mitchell · Oct 2024“This app is still building momentum. I've gone all in. I was a previous Logseq, Obsidian, Motion and Todoitst user. I still use those apps for niche tasks but Amplenote is now my daily life manager. It has a few quirks and a little bit of a learning curve, especially if you aren't familiar with bidirectional linking. But this just works out of the box and is get for just getting stuff done rather than spending days and days configuring.”
Chris · Oct 2024“This app is just made the right way. It makes me focus on work and my productivity has boosted a lot. There are features for making things pretty but you don’t have to get lost in that which usually happens in traditional notes apps. Here, it’s about writing rough ideas, polish them and if they look worthy then execute them. I really like the approach. Super Productive.”
mohitmasta · Oct 2024“It's a great alternative to apps like TickTick if you want more advanced notes without losing to-do functionality.”
Nelson · Oct 2024“Great App. Fantastic features. Very solid performance. Has excellent desktop and mobile apps. Seems to also work well offline and then sync when signal is available. Love the task management and task score for prioritising tasks. Helps give clarity to what should be done next. Great Google Calendar (and Apple and MS) integration. Can see my GC events (from another program) and create general and meeting notes from these events. Has back linking, web capture, rich notes, tags, nested tags etc. Huge list of handy features, but maintains an underwhelming GUI so that one doesn’t give up taking notes. Highly underrated Application. It should be leading the pack but seems to just go about creating and maintaining a great product without all the hype and broken promises/performance issues I’ve experienced with other Apps. I am not affiliated with this product and this is NOT a paid opinion. All in one Note Taker”
darb · Oct 2024“Best all in one productivity app.”
serkan · Oct 2024“Switched from Obsidian to Amplenote and I won't look back. The mobile app is actually FUNCTIONAL and doesn't take five years to load. The UI is simple and approachable. I might be new to PKM, but I can tell this is a keeper. 5 stars.”
Elias · Oct 2024“Pleasantly surprised by this intuitive app. Best switch from Evernote & worth the price. All the features you could need and more (e.g. plugin ecosystem, offline mode, graphed note connections). Really responsive customer support as well.”
Alexander · Sep 2024“I am someone who tries different apps constantly, always having some gripe with an app and needing to find something that fits my workflow better. Amplenote is something that I have tried on and off for around a year now, only recently did I fully give Amplenote Pro a shot. I take lots of notes and I have lots of events and tasks that I need to manage, and for the most part my previous apps (Apple Notes, Things3, Apple Reminders, and occasionally Obsidian) have been perfect for my use. But I found myself doing more things besides gaming on my Windows Machines and it led me to the issue of task and event management integrated with my notes. Obsidian is good but it just doesn't have that calendar or task management that works effortlessly across computers, mobile, and tablets. In comes Amplenote, has a good web app and good desktop app (paid plan currently) and has some other features that I found I prefer to have: Built-in Calendar & Drag-and-Drop Tasks Exports to Apple Calendar Postpone Task Google Sheets Embed PDF attachments can be viewed inside the note and content of the title and body of a pdf can be indexed. Youtube Embed 2FA Nested Bullet List that is foldable Drawing/Handwriting and Handwriting to Text Footnotes Outline Mode Markdown Readwise Integration Templates and much much more. Some things I listed are behind a paid subscription, but a lot of these things also come in the free tier, I highly recommend giving Amplenote a shot. A solid app with continuing potential”
gibby.z · Sep 2024“This is outrageous! The best free note-taking and to-do list software.”
chenhan · Sep 2024“Best app for notes/tasks/calendar combination. I also love the way it looks. Totally recommended!”
Wyper · Sep 2024“I’ve tried a lot of different productivity apps that had all the “bells and whistles “ but lacked many simple features that really were needed. My favorite feature of Amplenote is the “hide until “ feature which is actually why I found Amplenote in the first place. You can create all your lists and to dos in one place but then hide anything that isn’t needed yet. My ADHD brain is very grateful because seeing my entire list paralyzes me, but feeling like I’m forgetting something causes intense anxiety. Amplenote is the best of both worlds. I haven’t dove fully into all the features but it was simple enough to just get started with the features I need. I’m excited to keep using Amplenote. Thank you!”
Melanie · Sep 2024“I love the app. It not only works flawlessly on a foldable phone, if there's any issue they listen to you and sort it out as quickly as they can. Sure it could have more features but I value more the quality of the features it already has.”
Soyer · Sep 2024“Perfect notes and tasks app.. pls keep unlimited tasks and notes free forever. This app has potential. Go for it !!”
Ranjit · Sep 2024“The most efficient productivity app I have ever used. Lighting fast experience in mobile app.”
Utpal · Sep 2024“I like to power up my to-do list by always seeing tasks in the context of my calendar. Also, I'm a "second brain" system guy -- basically, a big-time note-taker, relying on tagged notes for everything my evanescent little memory for nothing. : ) This app lets you combine ALL three of those things together. --> Take detailed meeting notes. --> Turn your next steps into to-do's that are contextually coded to a specific project/context. --> Then air-traffic control them into the most efficient time slots. Love this app. Rating it so it hopefully stays around forever.”
bopsbdbdbdb · Sep 2024“I'm thrilled with the app so far; it has everything I need. A perfect replacement for Evernote!”
Marvin · Sep 2024“Superb! This app not only allowed me to rescue many notes I thought I lost from Evernote (everStalling, everRestricting, everPushingToUpgrade) which I stop using, but it also has many powerful features, more user-friendly than evernote, no-note limit restrictions, and I get to sync 3 devices once again FREE. It took me about 10 min to migrate everything and start making new notes. Thank you thank you AMPLENOTE!! your project is a life saver!! God Bless : )”
Walter · Aug 2024“Best note taking app with no issues. Moved from Evernote (which was very easy to import all my existing notes), and Amplenote have even more features, and they're free! It's simple, lightweight, with multi device support and extensive note taking features. Can't ask for anything more.”
Christos · Aug 2024“The search started with having calendar and task side by side so that I can easily drag and drop tasks into calendar. In search of 🪙, I found 💎! Amplenote not only give side by side calendar and tasks, but also they are linked from scratch. From having random thoughts, to processing them, to making them as tasks, to putting them in calendar to getting the done! It's the complete package. ❤️🔥 What a lovely, superb, thoughtful way of serving mankind.”
GM · Aug 2024“Easy to migrate, unlimited notes, great documentation”
Katherine · Aug 2024“Amplenote has truly changed my life. It has helped me to finally wrangle all my tasks in a way that makes sense for my brain. Now nothing gets lost and I’m accomplishing more than ever. Simply the best PKM”
btoddster · Aug 2024“Amplenote straight up changed my life. I built a "second brain" and once I figured out how much a network of information can improve your "productivity" in the broadest sense, working in Amplenote has become something of an obsession.”
Evan · Aug 2024“tried 5 other apps for notes and lists. This is the only one that had everything I wanted all in one app. 10/10 recommend!!”
Shahad · Aug 2024“This is an exceptional app, works seamlessly with the web version. Really appreciate having a solid and reliable second brain. I highly recommend this company and the app!”
Deb · Aug 2024“Love that it only shows upcoming tasks & hides the rest!”
Hannah · Jul 2024“So far I'm loving this app. Far easier to setup and maintain than notion, far more flexible and enjoyable to use than Evernote, more features and writing oriented than Google tasks, ticktick or todoist. I'm a couple weeks in and it's already made my workflows and mental offloading so much clearer. Definitely recommend giving it a try!”
Will · Jul 2024“Does exactly what I wanted, super fast /unbloated notes with excellent syncing. The free tier has everything I need, I just signed up to a paid tier to support them”
Mike · Jul 2024“Fantastic Evernote alternative. Simple to use . Easy to transfer notes from Evernote. Quick to navigate”
xrayjay62 · Jul 2024“I spent 3 weeks evaluating 16 different productivity tools and Amplenote fit my needs the best so far. Genius idea to have task management built into the note taking process as that is often when I’m coming up with new tasks to do. Love it! Game changer”
lapluviosilla · Jul 2024“The application is highly effective and provides a variety of features that make it easy to schedule work appointments. The notes are also well-designed and offer a variety of functions. I would suggest the following improvements: The ability to use folders instead of tags would provide a more hierarchical structure for notes. This would make it easier to find specific information. It will be a good addition the black mode, not dark mode but black. Looks better and it's better for devices.”
Martin · Jun 2024“This one checks all the criteria in my list and (unlike TickTick etc.) most of its capabilities (except for random stuff like note encryption and themes) are available. The desktop standalone app is not available for free plan. But I suggest to make a chrome shortcut installation for it: You go to the program's home page > three-dots on top-left > Save and share > Install .... (above "create shortcut")”
Flower · Jun 2024“I tried every popular productivity app recently… they all lacked the certain functions I needed to work at my most efficient. You usually either get a notes app OR a todo & calendar app, but Ample gives you the best of both. Best features are: Any tasks in your notes get captured and organized for you to place on your calendar. And easily accessible collapsible nodes in notes by h1/h2/h3, a perfect way to nest information in your notes without having a super lengthy, cluttered note. Overall a perfect workflow app for me and I will be upgrading to founder plan to support the creators 🙂 Perfectly matches my workflow! 🧡”
Harrisk101 · Jun 2024“With an emphasis on note taking rather than project management, Amplenote has the core features you need, like cloud sync and cross platform support, and the extras you want, like tags, formatting and sharing. Finally something I can use without making any compromises.”
RiserX4 · Jun 2024“Top-notch alternative to the paid Evernote. Even the free plan performs well.”
Cristiano · Jun 2024“This is an incredibly powerful programme and this corresponding app is just as good. Bit of a learning curve because it's quite an innovative system with so many features but I'm actually enjoying getting to grips with it. I'm also liking the community and the devs attitude and goals. This is a project I'd be delighted to support. They take user feedback really seriously and have loads of avenues to make suggestions and vote on those of others. Such a cool app thanks Bill!”
Emma · Jun 2024“I was overwhelmed with too many projects (career, non-profit, family, home repair, etc.), and I just couldn’t keep track of it all. My todo lists had too many tasks, some from over a year ago, and for every task I had to find where I put the info/notes when it was time to work on one. Numerous apps solve the issues of mixing notes and tasks, but they were either too hard to use or only good at either tasks or notes. Amplenote is the sweet spot for me, built for thinking through hard projects and helping me figure out what I need to work on. There is a learning curve, and it really helps to try to fit into the workflow the developers prefer, but I can’t imagine not having it. It’s made me massively more productive at home and work.”
Andre · Jun 2024“I have been trying to find an affordable and sustainable note taking app for years. This app allows me to take notes for my meetings, delegate my tasks around my day. It also allows you to separate your work calendar and personal calendar.”
Adrianna-Paige · Jun 2024“Took me a while to get used to, but I’m very happy with this app. I was coming from a Mish mash of Google tasks, Evernote, and paper. I gave this a try and after a steep learning curve, I’m very happy with it. My favorite future is the daily jot, which seems really simple and intuitive, but I haven’t run into any other apps that have this opportunity to clear your mind every morning. Very happy with Amplenote.”
ryanmcgo · Jun 2024“The app is truly an all in one platform, I have installed it and been using it ever since. It literally replaced my calendar and notes app because of how well designed it is. Also they have an awesome support team and community. Thank you so much for developing this amazing app!”
M · Jun 2024“This app really is a class above the rest. It makes planning the day and week ahead so much more straight forward. Throughout the day you could be taking so many notes and it can be a task in itself to track what you are planning but this makes it a breeze. Meetings are more structured as a result and you come away having some action points to work on after. Very nice looking app, works across all platforms and computers. The mobile app is an extra bonus!”
G98Productive · Jun 2024“I have been user of Amplenote for about three months and I am enjoying its thoughtful combination of notes tasks and calendar integration. This is a great middle ground product for people who need to my organized digitally but who do not manage a large team. Parents, Students, Academics and note takers will be relieved that they can manage most of their needs in one product. Many users will be happy with a free account, but if sharing information are tasks is important consider the pro version.”
Alexis · May 2024“Implements bi-directional links and unlinked references in a "funnel" productivity model that's seamless and unburdened by unnecessary formatting, templates, etc. The UI is simple and elegant. Mac desktop app and web version are fantastic. Android app is decent enough on mobile. Cheaper and better than Roam, Obsidian, and Notion. Importing to Amplenote is easy. A huge game changer for me. Does the work of 4 or 5 other apps I was using for years. Integrates well with Workspace. Highest recommend.”
Evan · May 2024“One of the best full-featured notes I've ever used.”
Editya · May 2024“Having started with Notion five years ago, then Craft Docs two years ago, I can say that Amplenote is doing what other devs have lost sight off: keeping the feature list paired down to what adds the most value to a daily user’s life. I haven’t been using it long, but I absolutely love it and would recommend any give it a try!”
c0nsilience · Apr 2024“I have tried every app under the sun to help manage my hectic day as a school principal, and nothing seemed to work. I finally found Amplenote and it has been a lifesaver! I am able to take notes, create tasks and plan my day on the fly. I can also easily search back through my notes if I need to find something. I highly recommend this app!!”
Klugejen13 · Apr 2024“Amplenote has so many unique features that easily makes it the best not taking app there is. Being a college student with 4-6 classes per quarter, being able to keep notes and one calendar makes my life so much easier. Although there is google docs, calendar, and others, nothing comes close to the features of this app. Sorting my notes has become so much easier than google drive, and allows me to easily find anything I’m looking for. The ability to incorporate my calendar into my note taking app makes life easier as opposed to constantly having to open another app. The tasks feature is also extremely helpful being able to put tasks and rank them based on things like urgency and importance. Separate from within the app, the google chrome extension is a life saver. The ability to send screenshots or highlight texts directly to your notes is convenient. The main reason I love this extension though, is that it gives you the source of what page you just screenshotted or took text down. Now, when I am skimming through mass amount of articles, I don’t have to manually cite them each time. When I go back afterwords, if I like something I found, coming back to cite it is incredibly easy. Another big thing I like is the use of plugins. While google and other services offer plugins, I have found there are many unique ones that fit my needs. Some of them are irrelevant to me, but I feel like for almost any task I am doing, I can find a plugin that makes it either easier, or less time consuming. Plugins like writing equations has saved me a lot of time in my stats class. The ability auto link note helps me save so much time when I have mass amounts of vocab words I need to go through. And it wouldn’t be a new breakthrough if it did not have AI of some kind. The ability to incorporate AI into a note app for things like summarize, revise, or answer questions is another life saver. It makes looking back on notes from a while ago easy as I can have it explain it back to me. With that being said, there is a little bit of a learning curve to get used to it. However, after about 30-40 minutes I was able to grasp almost all the topics I needed. The only one thing I would like them to add is a search feature within a note, as opposed to me going to google and then doing command F. With that being said, I believe I read the developers are currently working on that. They are always responsive and genuinely listen to what the community is asking for. I have never found an app as helpful and time saving as this one. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for something better than the google suite.”
Paul_Mills · Apr 2024“I just imported a large number of notes from another app (think elephant logo) which over the years has become big and complicated with way too many features I don’t need—and has in recent months become awkward to use even though I was a paying user. Enter Amplenote: streamlined, efficient, simple and extremely useful! Importing my notes from that *other* app was quick and 98% accurate (just some formatting needed to be cleaned up—quick job). I love seeing my notes listed on the first screen and not having to click through 3 layers of menus and ads for yet more features. Editing is quick and efficient, etc. Yes, I see that Amplenote has more features which I haven’t even tried out yet, which is fine as long as they don’t make the path to those I want to use longer. Please keep the simple and quick UI!! Very happy with the app!! Thank you!”
Jerry77B · Apr 2024“Even without paying, the app is comprehensive for managing daily notes, notes, tasks, and calendars. The "pro" plan (€70/year) adds a graph viewer, a side viewer, Google Calendar integration, themes, and more. The "unlimited" plan, twice as expensive, allows you to encrypt your notes and publish them online. I wish this feature were included in the "pro" plan; it would be perfect. Amplenote is full of features, available on all platforms, and deserves to be more widely known.”
Jean-François · Mar 2024“Issues resolved, back to perfect. Great support and response”
Kekrau · Mar 2024“I’ve recently gotten this recommended by a family member, and was this a time worth investing learning. I’ve always tried to be better with notetaking, and I’ve tried apps such as Evernote, OneNote, etc. and it just hasn’t sticked. Not this app. The planner has been a total life saver for actually planning out my to-do list for certain topics, and hashtags keep everything organized. Very well thought out application.”
etiennejude · Mar 2024“Right off the bat you can tell Amplenote has put a lot of thought into making something like this work (the all-in-one note taking, tasks, and calendar tool). It's not easy at all and they have done it brilliantly. There's a slight learning curve to how everything works, but it guides you through very nicely. I can't state enough great of a job they did in providing you ways to get thoughts, tasks, and ideas down quickly. You can see this and more with how thought out and intentional their widgets are. They're perfect. Viewing media isn't the best if you're trying to view an image and be able to zoom in and all that within the app as it takes you to the browser, but this can certainly be improved without too much friction I would imagine. That's my biggest con I can think of at the moment. I'm pretty blown away otherwise. Note taking is great, tasks are amazing, and add in the ability to time block those tasks on a built in calendar and you have yourself a winner. Cheers!!”
M.James · Mar 2024“I've used Evernote since inception but have been frustrated by its slowness and how bloated it became over the years. After a couple years of trying to make the switch to an alternative platform I have finally found it. Amplenote is speedy and efficient to jot my notes down, turn them into tasks, then schedule them. Keep up the good work!”
Trevor · Mar 2024“I cannot begin to say how much I appreciate this app. I wasn't sure if I needed the features beyond the Free version, but I wanted to support its development so I signed up for the very reasonable Pro subscription. And I'm glad I did. The desktop app has so much promise.”
Annette · Feb 2024“I have found this extremely useful to have all of my notes and a to-do list in the same app that I can access on both my phone and my PC. It's incredibly useful for keeping track of assignments and any personal jots I want to make. I also like the way you can upgrade to services if you want but you can also use the app for completely free if it meets all of your needs already. There's also a really cool animation when you finish a task that just makes me happy. Highly recommend for students”
Jase · Feb 2024“I manage a team and on top of that I manage all the billing aspect of the company I work for. Amplenote has been a life saver. It has allowed me to keep track of how to note I’ve created over time and has helped me keep my daily tasks and monthly tasks organized. I’ve become more productive ever since I’ve started using Amplenote. I love that I have the app on my phone for meetings and I’m able to pick right back up on the desktop so easily!”
Undermized · Feb 2024“Having tried MANY productivity apps (tasks, notes, calendars) and equally as many workflows . . . Amplenote is the BEST all-in-one I've discovered! Be prepared for a serious learning curve but YT, blogs, and forums are great. When you invest the learning time up front you will save time exponentially going forward! You might find an app that works as well for you but . . . you will not find a better app than Amplenote”
NPMG19 · Feb 2024“I’ve tried a couple other productivity apps on the app store before but none were as effective as Amplenote. I have been using it for a couple weeks and can definitely see the difference as I am doing much more and procrastinating much less. The ability to just write down whatever is on your mind and then turn it into action is unparalleled.”
Triple · Feb 2024“When I downloaded this, I was a little skeptical as it seemed a little confusing but I can assure you that with 15-20 minutes, understanding this app will be extremely easy. In addition, I thought it would help with basic things, (working out, doing my work, chores etc.), but now I put nearly every single thing I do in my life in here. I highly recommend this to anyone, and please dedicate at least 15 minutes to learning it before deciding not to use it.”
Golden_Specs · Feb 2024“In my experience, it stands out as an exceptional note-taking and productivity application, surpassing others in its comprehensive features. Amplenote's all-in-one functionality, coupled with its rich features, positions it as a leader in the productivity app space. The user experience has been consistently positive, making it a standout choice among the myriad options available.”
Madvith · Feb 2024“PKM, second brain and task/project manager. It has it all.”
Martín · Feb 2024“I am all in at this point. I've paid for a year of unlimited with the intention of abandoning my Evernote (a devoted user since 2010) and Todoist (user since 2013).”
Joe · Jan 2024“Pros: Useful. Offers full view of all tasks. I really like that: prevents you from adding too much. Love how tagging & notes work, you can link them to each other easily 🔗 Calendar let's you do pretty much anything. Cons: Steep learning curve, maybe? Guess it could be fixed with a more detailed intro inside the app. Still, investing some hours in it pays in terms of productivity, they do have a great tutorial under help, and when I say "steep" I mean less than an afternoon. So. Manageable. 🤷”
Lou · Jan 2024“Simple, Light, Fastest”
Aflah · Jan 2024“Amplenote has allowed me to capture tasks and notes in one place and cross-link. Plus, I can schedule tasks in calendar view, which is important to me. I can even set task duration, importance, and urgency. I use Amplenote mainly on a computer but the Android phone and tablet apps have been great and sync pretty quickly.”
Annette · Jan 2024“The Best Note Taking App for GTD (Getting Things Done) All in One: - Jots - Notes + Backlinks - Tasks - Calendar”
Kongnutt · Jan 2024“Switched from Evernote to Amplenote and so happy I did. Evernote started charging $ for more than 50 notes.”
Tim · Jan 2024“So far, the app is excellent. It helps you organize things very intuitively. I'm not giving it 5 stars because I hope they'll soon add a Spanish language option.”
Daniel · Jan 2024“Good by evernote. Here I am. Very simple and excellent app.”
Itamar · Jan 2024“This app has entirely replaced evernote and todoist for me, and has changed the way I use Google calendar. You do have to spring for the lowest tier premium version to have the calendar sync with g cal both ways, but they have their own calendar widget too, so it's really just a quality of life upgrade, and anyhow their first tier is less than half of what evernote wanted to charge me. Moved hundreds of notes over and I'm not looking back!!”
Michael · Jan 2024“Transfered from Evernote to Amplenote. This guy's are 10x better. In process of testing the features and opting for paid plan... Would highly recommend!!!”
S · Jan 2024“Finally, an app that integrates a task list with notes, and also the calendar! I’ve always wanted something like this and the task list apps I’ve tried I’ve never implemented notes in a way that worked for me. Everything about this app is great so far! Been using for just over a week now, I have migrated most of my notes and tasks over.”
Steve19159 · Jan 2024“A fantastic app with a focus on task flow! Unlike many competitors, Amplenote offers three unique features combined: offline notes, send by email, and Google Calendar integration. If the underlying task flow approach of notes and tasks works for you, you'll find this a great app that's constantly being improved!”
Mo · Jan 2024“Perfect Notes & Tasks app. I tried most popular notes apps, like Notion, Evernote, obsidian, Colornotes, Simple Note, Keep etc... Some apps have too much features that felt overwhelmed to me(ex: Notion), some have very limited feature(ex: Keep),I wanted a app in middleground, not too many features and not too low. I found this app resonates with me. Here are the things I love 1.) Markdown, I love my notes strucred & organised 2.) Cloud sync in free plan too 3.) Jots and Quick Tasks. Thanks Devs.”
Saravanakumar · Jan 2024“Great alternative to Evernote. Trying the free version for now and so far it works well and the transition was painless.”
Ralph · Jan 2024“Great experience after coming from Evernote. I really liked the app”
Sai · Jan 2024“I've known Amplenote since its inception and have watched it evolve into the most comprehensive note-taking app. I hope they soon add Graph View to the mobile version; it's a new feature from the web version that makes this great app feel like a combination of Roam Research and Evernote (in its prime). I give it five stars not only for its excellence but also for the dedicated team that's clearly working on it and constantly improving it.”
Juan · Jan 2024“Great product you are making here. I’ve tried Roam, Tana, Obsidian and was a regular user of Todoist — and right now I’m enjoying Amplenote that I signed on as a Founder supporter.”
Kuty · Dec 2023“I love Amplenote. I was looking for something to use for notetaking and organizing and explored dozens of options and watched videos about how each of them work. This one fits my brain perfectly.”
Missy · Dec 2023“By now, I cannot imagine how I could live without AmpleNote. I am aware that this is a strong statement, but I am serious. After a long struggle with my workload in work and personal life, I was in desperate need for a tool that allows me to apply what is basically GTD with a few tweaks to all parts of my life and that acts as a PKMS on top of it.”
Peter · Dec 2023“I appreciate your interest in feedback. I confess, I was a long time Evernote user looking for a free alternative when they started changing their plans/rates. It took some searching to stumble upon Amplenote, which was a concern at first. I figured if it wasn’t popping up high on all the lists of “best Evernote alternatives” it must not be very good. But then I read some good reviews and also realized it’s relatively new, so it was alluring in a “best kept secret” kind of way. Then when I got the free trial and realized how easy it was to transfer my Evernote data, I was impressed.”
Scott · Dec 2023“You already know this but you are competing in that knowledge management space. Which is fine but I think there might be opportunity to position Amplenote as more of an all in one, Get Things Done, knowledge management app. As I see it, Amplenotes learning curve is so much lower than even Notion, Airtable, Walling, X-tiles, Capacities, Anytype, just to name a few. I think you are moving towards the best Note app, best todo app, best calendar app, best PKM app, without the learning curve.”
Greg · Nov 2023“Insight of the day: @amplenote is way better than you may think, and their support is excellent. There are hundreds of small things built into this project that make it really fun to use. And I love their retro theme 💙”
Alexander · Aug 2023“Normally when working with Notes apps there is always something not quite right, it is either ways too complex to set up correctly e.g. Tana, Mem or it’s focus is on functionality I don’t need e.g. RemNote, Roam Research or it leaves me with file management tasks e.g. Obsidian. The thing that almost all note apps fail to implement is end to end encryption. The three best in this respect are Reflect Notes, Bear and of course Amplenote.”
Andrew · Aug 2023“I'm loving the task funnel and the smart ordering of tasks in the task view. I don't do full calendar integration yet but I might get there eventually. I use jots and tasks way more than I expected to when I first started.”
Sara · Aug 2023“I actually dove way into Obsidian after this one before eventually coming back to Amplenote once I realized I was spending way too much time fiddling and struggling with sync and information capture. I started slowly diving into Amplenote and the Idea Execution Funnel and Help Docs really started to draw me in because they were at once a way to show me how to use Amplenote and also a system for productivity itself. Similar to why I love YNAB - it isn't just great software but it is also a method for budgeting.”
John · Jul 2023“I really believe in the long term value of this product. Amplenote is a lot more valuable than $10 a month and is still a bargain at $20 a month. It is too early to quantify how much Amplenote will save me in time and how much it will boost my productivity, but the potential is huge.”
Chris · Jun 2023“Loving the app. Cancelled Todoist and planning to cancel Evernote to go all-in on Amplenote. Shu Omi and his YouTube videos; I found his channel because I’m a dedicated Obsidian user. Fast and clean UX integration between tasks, calendar, and back-linked notes (I’ve seen nothing like it!).”
Christopher · Jun 2023“A Tana user I know recently asked me how often I actually use the app. I don't know if they believed me when I told them the application is just as good on mobile and it's not just for "quick capture." I can actually do work and be productive instead of mindlessly scrolling Twitter when I am out and about and even at home when it's just easier to use the phone or iPad rather than having to move to the office and use the computer.”
Gustavo · May 2023“After giving Amplenote my full attention for the past 2 hours, all I can say is "wow". I'm in love. Though I prefer analog systems, diaries, planners...and it has its place, AmpleNote is so easy to pick up and learn and then get to the doing. That's the problem in the productivity space. What do people actually do? It seems that they spend ages pouring over the right system, or going from app to app looking for something that will propel their productivity, but producing nothing. I have never understood it. This app is amazing. I'm a firm fan and new paid subscriber. Thanks for an app that is for normies like me.”
Michelle · Apr 2023“I am a long-time Evernote user, But I, like many, am concerned that the purchase by Bending Spoons may not be good. Exporting notes from Evernote into Amplenote is the best I have experienced. I have purchased a subscription, deleted my test imports, and am getting ready to start anew.”
Steve · Apr 2023“Let me congratulate you on developing this amazing app. Wow!! A review by Scott Friesen of Simpletivity led me to try this. Then the videos by Shu Omi and Lee Garret quickly got me up to speed. Love the integration of the notes, tasks and calendar. Did I mention how amazing the mobile app is. Paid for the Premium within a couple days, happily... Amazing notetaking with world class task management.”
Yaakov · Mar 2023“It just works. I don't have to come up with any weird workaround to use GTD inside Amplenote. The responsiveness of the developers is equally impressive. Between work and home I was using Todoist, Asana, Sunsama and Evernote. It's allowed me to unify my working environment without integrations and zaps.”
David · Feb 2023“I love Amplenote and I am migrating my data from nimbus to AN.”
Hans · Feb 2023“Loving Amplenote so far. Most recently, used Evernote and Obsidian. Evernote is too slow and your task management is far superior. Obsidian is just as fast as you are on computer, but you blow the doors off it on mobile -- and getting ideas and task in quick from your mobile is crucial to allowing yourself to make it a "trusted system" in the GTD sense. Of course, you have a big leg up on Obsidian in task management too.”
Jim · Feb 2023“My favourite features are the bullet journal set up.. Being able to easily organise, and reorganise, tasks in the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly sections is a great idea. I also love the linking feature and think the system you have showing linked pages at the top is very good (unlike the app ‘Craft.’)”
Thomas · Feb 2023“I love the tagging structure, how fast and lightweight the experience is, incredible sync functionality, and the footnotes I can create. The footnotes have really grown on me.”
Tyler · Feb 2023“Amplenote has changed my life in such a drastically good way. I sometimes think about how "randomly" I ran into Amplenote on Roam Research Comment Thread and gave it a spin. If there is anything I can do to help the AN team, please let me know. I'm so grateful that you guys have built this program that helps me every day.”
Adam · Jan 2023“Amplenote has been a huge relief in that I can finally organize my thoughts...I needed something buildable with wiki functionality, and Amplenote does that very well. I love the ease of building tasks and nestable tags are my new obsession.”
Amy · Jan 2023“I am really starting to love this app and feel it has a good balance for note taking, PKM and task management.”
David · Jan 2023“I've think you've built something really special with Amplenote. The UI is clean and easy to use and for me anyway it is great combination of notes, tasks, and calendars.”
Ted · Jan 2023“Best feature so far is having tasks inside notes. It’s a no brainer and I LOVE it.”
Gavin · Dec 2022“Hey! Thanks for building such a great application, although I've bashed it a bit with bugs and other (kinda out of bounds) feature requests, this app has changed the way I work for the better. I feel better towards productivity now. The support I've had both from Bill, and specially from @Lucian has been a life-saving experience in many times! Thanks again for building such a great community and a great app!”
Mat · Dec 2022“I'm kind of obsessed with this app so far. It's so simple and easy to use but there's also so much hidden functionality. I think my favorite features so far are the linked and unlinked mentions, footnotes, custom tag colors, and overall idea of daily jots. I also love the post with tips on organizing tags because that initial organization and structure is always the tough piece for me.”
Nora · Nov 2022“Being able to plan on the calendar my tasks (with duration!!!), to integrate both tasks and notes and to link notes are awesome features and where Amplenote really shines against so many other apps. So I seriously think it should be much more in the mouth of regular people and very specially in productivity KOLs.”
Cibran · Oct 2022“I use Obsidian for EVERYTHING. However, Amplenote has two killer features: 1. Web availability. As a profesional in companies where software download is restricted this is a life saver, as I can access my zettelkasten from the web (+ easily from mobile). 2. Task management is great. Especially the "!hide" function, where I can manage my todo a bit like an email inbox where I snooze tasks/emails for later. This is actually is a life changer for me as I allows me to prioritize my days (tens of tasks) in 2minutes.”
Gabriel · Oct 2022“I love Amplenote, and in particular how there is a logical progression from jots to notes to tasks to calendar. It’s a fantastic and refreshing solution, that could be regarded as the best thing that has happened recently in the realm of productivity. I’m currently a lover of Workflowy and Notion, Evernote is something I think that has done its dash, and I honestly believe that in a years time your app could be right up there with the big players.”
Andreas · Sep 2022“I have been in search of an Evernote replacement for a while. I have bounced between mem and Obsidian. I found Amplenote and it is the perfect balance for free thought note taking and organization. I think you have done a great job with this product. I plan on fully migrating to it this week.”
David · Sep 2022“I've just gone through almost every meaningful app/system (22+ apps) to find what fits the way I think from a project lens. Features and functionality are nice but the core has to be there and you did it with the idea funnel. I decided to join on the founder plan”
Houston · Sep 2022“You had me at Eisenhower grid. Just discovered you today. Cannot remember the last time I was blown away by excellent software. Kudos.”
Michael · Sep 2022“I've tried a million apps to organize myself along a hybrid of GTD/GSD. Most recently, I'd been experimenting with Joplin and Notion. Every app I've tried was more trouble than it's worth -and required too much time to manage. The Amplenote idea execution funnel follows my daily work pattern and was a very natural fit. I've had my account for approximately a week - and just upgraded to pro. Great job on the app!!! Thank you - from a very happy customer!”
Phil · Sep 2022“Overwhelmed with all the awesomeness of @amplenote right now. It has so many features and it works amazingly on Chromebooks. And yes, offline mode and the web clipper do, too. I think a lot of other note-taking, to-do list and calendar apps should take note of making great PWAs.”
minimlr · Aug 2022“Keep up the good work, you can beat the competition as I've tried more than 30+ task, note taking and project management apps so i know for sure this idea is unique and will sell.”
Usama · Aug 2022“I've used Roam for over a year. It's great for daily journaling, but awful for any kind of task management - especially recurring tasks and other more complex use cases. Then I did some googling and noticed that I can import my existing data from Roam to Amplenote and that you guys have much better features for tasks and time management. Easy decision!”
Antti · Jul 2022“I really like your frequent update cadence, your feature upvoting board, and a lot of the innovative features (rich footnotes, inline tags, etc) that you bring to the table. But I think Amplenote's performant nature (viz. Roam's sluggishness) was the one thing that pushed you over the edge over more established alternatives like Obsidian. Hoping the app will continue to be blazingly fast!”
Colin · Jul 2022“4 weeks into my pro account tackling a large project ( I have tried most note and writing apps but always found something missing or counterintuitive about them) and Amplenote wins by a mile. Pure solution and a pleasure.”
Jay · Jul 2022“I appreciate Amplenote, I appreciate your communications with the community, and I appreciate how much you put out in the open the list of things you're prioritising to focus on next. I get so much personal and professional use out of Amplenote, and it's a game-changing quality-of-life improvement for me as an educator and as someone with a neurological condition that affects my memory. I've genuinely been able to use AN as a "prosthetic memory," supplementing the glitching brain with something significantly more reliable. AN is what I turn to when I need to swiftly access and connect ideas and memories, and everything I do on paper gets backed up to it, reinforced with bidirectional links, tags, and other forms of metadata. AN takes my efforts from "I know it's written down, but figuring out where may take awhile," to just keyword search it, or just consult the tags, and if it's not there already, make a Task to fill in that gap later. It's by far the best of many ways I've tried. It's the one that sticks, that just works. Thanks, guys.”
Isto · Jul 2022“I've bounced between...almost every solution, actually. I use Things everyday and love it, but it was turning into where I kept my notes, causing me trouble downstream when I need to pull stuff back out. I used Obsidian for a long time, trying Notion, Remnotes, Supernotes, Noteplan, Clover, Craft, Keep It, Reflect, Logsec and most of the second-tier ones, as well. Amplenote is easily the best. Beyond being surprisingly feature complete, you've built something that is approachable and usable for the casual user but wildly customizable for the power user. And your support people seem nice (I'm emailing them next with a couple minor items). I'm slowly moving my tasks from Things into Amplenote.”
Jefferson · Jul 2022“Seriously though, I do think the app is astonishingly amazing. Thank you and the app's team for this incredible tool that now is officially my note taking and task manager of choice. Congratulations and lots of success to you guys!”
Abraao · Jul 2022“I’ve been playing around with @amplenote and I’m seriously impressed with what they’ve built out here! The founder Bill is a super great guy and the amount of though which has gone behind this platform stands out the second you give the platform a try! Super hyped”
Jai · Jun 2022“I can’t even tell you how much I love Amplenote. I’m an (early) retired CPA, and you have no idea how much I wish this had existed when I was still working – I can’t even tell you how many task managers I went through back then trying to find the perfect one. I’m still making great use of your app, using it to manage all my chores, our vacations, hobbies, shopping lists, etc. It’s so genius, I love the tagging system, I love how I can attach links and photos. I really love how I can share those with the husband.”
Jennifer · Jun 2022“My students would say "your to-do list looks scary." I tried using Onenote, which is actually pretty good, but still the task function was terrible... my main hurdle into a better workflow was task list calendar integration. I started searching for apps that would coordinate with my calendar and ran across Shu Omi's videos. I started using it and within 48 hours I feel totally and completely in control of my to-do list. I spend WAY less time figuring out what I'm going to work on next and I finally got all my "barnacle" tasks off my list. I had one on my list for at least a year and it's done! All because of Amplenote.”
Sarah · May 2022“Amplenote has made me realize how vastly superior tag organization is to folder based structured apps”
Isaiah · May 2022“The offline support is amazing as I frequently work in environments with poor connectivity. For all competitors (Wrike, Clickup, Notion, Logseq, Onenote, and MS Projects), the main dealbreaker was app speed and offline support- none of them hold a candle to Amplenote... Thank you for making an amazing product. Amplenote is the standard to which I hold other apps to for speed, offline support, and general usability optimizations.”
Finlay · Apr 2022“I've been using Amplenote for about a week and it's amazing. You have created an incredible product. I'm a pastor and I have so many uses with this from sermon prep to taking notes that I connect to each other for pastor care/counseling to task/project management. Thank YOU for doing such a great job.”
Brian · Apr 2022“I've been searching for tools forever, on a quest for productivity tools that work. I've tried Asana, Obsidian, Motion, all of Microsoft's useless task/project/teams management tools, and the list goes on and on. I think you got it right with the quick notes, notes, tasks, and calendar. I bought your "Founder's" level.”
Carl · Apr 2022“I have to say Amplenote is a fantastic, well designed app. The core features and implementation of the app resonate very well with me.”
Jose · Mar 2022“Amplenote has radically changed the way I live my life. I was chronically disorganized and typically late because of how much I would scramble, trying to keep myself together while presenting myself as a creative professional. I'm a multimedia creative, but I haven't had much to show for it, because I wasn't keeping track of myself. Making notes about "the idea of myself" helps me define who I am and what I can do in the world around me.”
Timoy · Mar 2022“Amplenote’s task management and in particular the Eisenhower Matrix scoring is a real winner for me. I am still in the process of setting up Amplenote Tasks as I require but with just a few days of usage I can see how this is your killer feature.”
Jason · Mar 2022“What keeps me from going somewhere else is the task score. Not having to prioritize myself is such a load off my mind.”
Dennis · Mar 2022“I just touched Amplenote yesterday and was shocked. It's the closest thing to the ideal notes app I've ever had.”
Sato · Feb 2022“I’m a long time Roam user and after well over a year there was no improvement to the experience and I switched to Obsidian. I was drawn to Amplenote by the task integration initially but as I have been using it I also really like the footnote feature which I use extensively for my notes and especially for presentations I give regularly to senior leadership at my company.”
David · Feb 2022“Been using @amplenote for 8 months now (which is an eternity for me!) and it keeps getting better and better. Feels like a tool that works *with* me rather than trying to force my workflow into a feature set”
Stuart · Feb 2022“YES!! Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. I just wasn't thinking about using inline references that way but this is perfect. You guys rock!”
u/GlobalToolshed · Jan 2022“I had a strong feeling about improving my personal digital organisation. I was looking for a tool to use and tested a lot of them. Something always felt wrong with these tools or I missed features. Than I discovered Amplenote by accident through reddit and was completely blown away! So fast, so beautiful, so simple, so easy to use, so many features.. I really love your tool! As a UX Designer I must say that Amplenote is incredible well designed!”
Phillippe · Jan 2022“@amplenote reminded me how good fast software feels. In this regard, it puts to shame many other apps”
Vincent · Dec 2021“When I hit the "Tasks" pane in Amplenote, every single task in every single note (or not if I decide to filter by tag), shows up and is magically prioritized based on due date, priority and urgency. It's so frictionless to see all of that in one place, especially entering in random tasks in many different notes. One of the most powerful features of Amplenote IMO.”
blog.centifanto.net: · Dec 2021“I just upgraded to a Founder Plan because I keep having wonderful days when I work inside of Amplenote for task management and note-taking and the responses/support I have gotten from you and your team has been outstanding. I can not wait to see what you guys build.”
Adam · Dec 2021“Just want you to be aware. However... let me just say that I have had the most productive day of 2021 thanks to your tool. I also think that the AmpleCap offering is going to be the raddest web clipper on the market.”
Adam · Dec 2021“Using Daily Jots on Amplenote has super charged my ability to be productive at work”
Ryan · Dec 2021“I’m a software developer turned business owner and for nearly a decade I’ve been looking for something that allows me to drag my tasks directly to my calendar in a way that lets me see what I’ve scheduled and what I haven’t. And I finally found Amplenote. This week I dove in head first with a calendar-ify approach and it has been a bit of a game changer for me... All I can say is thank you. This is the productivity tool I’ve been yearning for.”
Joshua · Dec 2021“I've got to be honest. When I first started using Amplenote, I felt like Amplenote was too rigid with its idea execution funnel. Then I thought it wasn't feature-rich enough compared to Todoist, Evernote, etc. Instead, I keep finding it to be a consistent execution workhorse that is the most effective version of the prior mentioned tools. Excited about what is being built”
u/thirdordergreek · Nov 2021“In order to get rid of Evernote, I have tried out every note system I could find. I can't believe I never heard of Amplenote until I saw someone mention it in a Reddit thread, but as soon as I saw it I signed up to try it out. I was expecting disappointment but was shocked to find that it's quite awesome, and it actually has OCR.”
Benjamin · Nov 2021“their Idea Execution Funnel enables seamless transition of my daily jots/quick capture/brain dump into tasks or full notes. Absolutely the best part of this system, and the main reason I chose it as my productivity tool. I have absolutely zero interest in multiple apps. Coupled with their industry unique Task Scoring system, enabling dynamic task ranking based on urgency, priority and due date makes this tool unlike any other”
Isaiah · Oct 2021“Thanks for your message. Amplenote is a real revelation for me. I just love it! I immediately felt like I found the tool I was looking for for a long time. I migrated to Amplenote after 1 month on ticktick”
Justine · Sep 2021“This month I've been trialling Roam Research in addition to my @amplenote subscription to see if I can understand the #roamcult, and I just don't get it. It's fine, but with a few exceptions, everything Roam does Amplenote can do better. Plus - rich footnotes are a game changer.”
Tom · Sep 2021“The real challengers/alternatives that Evernote will see as competition...Innovating faster and faster, Amplenote combines tasks, calendar, and notes in one hub--and doing it systematically too. This is probably their [Evernote's] biggest worry--as people seeking a balance between Obsidian and Evernote see Amplenote as the perfect placement.”
Francesco · Aug 2021“I like it enough that I cancelled some monthly entertainment expenses to purchase it.”
Daniel · Aug 2021“I tried Bear, Notion, Obsidian, Nimbus, Craft. Amplenote was better, more intuitive and easier to use than all of these, hands down”
Luc · Aug 2021“I've used several note taking apps from the One Note to Roam and never found anything that would stick. When I came across Shu's video on Amplenote it was a real game changer for me and so far it's working great. In summary, what I love about Amplenote is that it facilitates my research while giving me the ability to easily create actionable items...t's such an easy frictionless workflow making it an easy habit to implement.”
Robert · Aug 2021“After trying dozens of productivity apps over the last 10 years I finally feel I found the sweet spot. So a very happy Amplenote user here! I was using Things 3 in combination with different note taking apps.”
Mark · Aug 2021“Just FYI….love your application. Life changing. Keep up the great work.”
Scott · Aug 2021“Love the way Amplenote has been able to streamline my note taking, organizing and daily planning. Really wonderfully done.”
Joshua · Aug 2021“I'm just going to be honest -- to me, Amplenote is the best thing since the smartphone.”
Garrison · Aug 2021“First on the things I love - I think you have absolutely solved the problem of task management. For me tasks have to be able to be captured in context (inside notes) but also simultaneously be managed with advanced task management features. What you can do in Amplenote far surpasses what I thought might be possible (shoutout to the auto score on task importance) - you guys have nailed it.”
u/trendyy · Aug 2021“My physical system was designed like a knowingly sinking ship, waiting for rescue by some app out there. I just used a bunch of index cards and composition notebooks, tagging them intricately with multiple, nested tags. To be honest, I don't know how many hours I have spent searching for the right app. I was getting discouraged! Evernote couldn't do it, so I didn't bother using them. Nobody could! But you guys DID, and it's close to perfect, and so here it is -- Thank You! And bravo Amplenote! . . . Bravo!”
Garrison · Jul 2021“Thank you for your e-mail, because Amplenote suits me really the best! I was looking for this kind of all-in-one note+to-do+cal hub app for a very very very long time.”
Hanz · Jul 2021“I have tried in the past Amplenote and absolutely fell in love with it. It is hands down the best app I have ever tried and it has helped so much in my daily life while I was using it.”
Damien · Jul 2021“First of all I LOVE the task scoring capability in this app.”
Ash · Jul 2021“Most of the existing note taking apps have awful task management and I must say Amplenote has done it much better.”
Shane · Jul 2021“What drew me was finding a solution to have all of my notes, to do lists and follow up for work all in one place. The must haves for me were having the ability to have tasks repeat weekly but not constantly show on my to do list. Prior to this I was using a combination of writing in notebooks and calendar reminders which was a little disconnected.”
Martine · Jun 2021“I have looked for a product which is capable of supporting my desired planning flow for quite a long time, and I have never found anything that came close until I stumbled upon Amplenote. I can't overstate how excited I am about what I am able to do with it.”
Brent · Jun 2021“The rich footnote feature really caught my eye, and is almost unique in the note app realm I think; like it!”
Patrick · Jun 2021“Amplenote's footnotes are implemented beautifully, and coupled with clear backlinking makes this tool a powerful research tool. I won't be dropping it anytime soon! Finally, thanks for Amplenote, it's one of maybe 30 tools I've tried and so far the only one I've chosen to pay subscription for (other than Notion, but as I say, my use case for that tool is quite different!). I really look forward to watching this tool develop!”
Dave · Jun 2021“Thanks for creating Amplenote! What I love about it is the ability to create reference notes, add tasks, and link those directly into my calendar on the due date. That works amazing well!”
Mike · May 2021“Over several years, I have used most ‘note-taking’ and ‘task’ applications – and your Amplenote offers the rare opportunity to combine many features found in other applications into this one app.”
Andrew · Apr 2021“I'm very taken (ie think its brilliant) with Amplenote's way of thinking about tasks. Its genuinely helpful that the rich notes environment has such a clear way of expressing what you need or want to get done (and is not just a repository for connections between ideas, all too soon irrelevant or redundant). It all seems exceptionally well worked out so far, and I know it's early days.”
Thomas · Apr 2021“I think you have something very special on your hands. Doist has the SEO and content strategy, Roam has the libertarian cult weirdos who rewrite books as they read them. I think Amplenote is the first one to just get shit done and take notes as you go, almost an embodiment of the checklist manifesto. Doist refuses to do start dates. You have a huge advantage here already.”
Justin · Apr 2021“I have been using this app now for a few months and I really, really love it. It is becoming my personal wiki - I'm using for contact management (thanks Lukas!), interstitial journaling, a career inventory (thanks Monica!), and other things I want to be able to access on both desktop and phone. I moved my Evernote stuff in there and haven't looked back.”
Anna · Apr 2021“I have been hopping from roam to obsidian to craft but I never got things done. Amplenote is the the panacea I think to get things done.”
Manoj · Apr 2021“It’s not even the functionality, which is comprehensive and great and goes without saying. It’s the fact that I look forward to using it. Everything just seems to fit the way I want to work. Although this could be just because it’s still new to me, but haven’t really felt this way about any other products I have tried.”
u/lonnieboi · Apr 2021“Finally, Tasks and Notes in one Tool.”
Tom · Mar 2021“After getting into Tiago Forte and Second Brain concepts, I did an exhaustive comparison of note-taking apps and I am going all-in on Amplenote (from Evernote). Love the bidrectional linking with the powerful task management, at a fraction of the cost of Roam with mobile app, improved reliability etc”
Craig · Mar 2021“Amplenote seems like it’s the closest to what I’ve dreamed of note taking app...better than competitors in many ways.”
Pavel · Feb 2021“I am a long-term user of Scrivener and Evernote, but migrated to Roam in May of 2020 on account of the bi-directional linking feature. However, I found that Roam had a number of downsides: the tendency for content to become lost due to lack of structure, and dependence on a constant internet connection (as well as a clunky mobile & tablet experience). Amplenote provides the best of both worlds, with a more structured and fluid UI alongside the backlinks (and the WYSIWYG editor is a major improvement over markdown). So far, I'm loving the app, and it works well on both Mac and iOS.”
Rufus · Feb 2021“Rich Footnotes are life-changing. Whoever on the dev team came up with that one, cheers x 10^infinity.”
u/MoomPastroom · Feb 2021“Amplenote has infinitely more value to me than almost any app I've used before. Easiest money I've ever spent.”

Mark · Feb 2021“The ease of doing notes and then the tasks they complete. I am already feeling less stressed. You somehow have done a brilliant job. it works.”
u/Adventurous_ad182 · Feb 2021“I've been spending quite a while recently finding a new notation system to unify all of my various systems and places notes wind up. The main ones I was looking at in the end were Amplenote, Evernote, Roam, and Notion. Amplenote wound up being my top choice because it is robust and combined the best features of each of these apps.”
John · Feb 2021“What's really cool is it gives the task something called a Task Score... It's a really nice feature if I'm to be honest”
Francesco · Feb 2021“What you may be noticing is this little box called the Task Score. I really think this is brilliant and is going to help many of you.”
Scott · Feb 2021“I was immediately drawn to Amplenote because of the familiar layout, newer features like bi-lateral linking and a slick mobile experience. Previously, I tried Roam, Bear, Apple Notes, and Evernote - and I truly believe Amplenote is the perfect mix of all of them.”
Nick · Jan 2021“Overall, I love how polished the app is on each platform (Mac and iOS for me)”
Spencer · Jan 2021“This is an amazing app. The thing that caught my eye right off is the ability to link notes or thoughts, Google, or Youtube, within a note. I can capture the depth of thought in one place.”
Wanda · Jan 2021“I switched from Workflowy to Roam as it was an obvious evolutionary leap. My sense is Amplenote is in the right direction to go that extra step further.”
Richard · Jan 2021“Hi, just signed up to the founder package - this is the best note taker I have used so far - it feels like it was designed for how my brain works. So thank you.”
u/LibrarianSufficient3 · Jan 2021“I have been using it over the past week and have found it has been most helpful in focusing on key tasks. The task ranking system is amazing!”
Atul · Jan 2021“Just professing my love for @amplenote outloud here. This is an outstanding notetaking platform that works like my brain does.”
Mike · Jan 2021“Your footnote feature is life changer tech”
Aditya · Jan 2021“After the initial discovery and setup period*, @amplenote is pure bliss and flow. 🧘♂️ * To get to 'bliss and flow', do yourself a favour: invest the necessary one, two (or three) weeks to properly discover @amplenote's amazing ways & features.”
Eddie · Jan 2021“I definitely became a more organized and effective version of myself. What drew me to Amplenote was the simplicity, it is so easy to use and at the same time I can do so much with it! I love it.”
Abril“I started exploring Roam by chance, and thought it was cool and then came across Amplenote and think you have done a wonderful job with it. In fact – I switched pretty much straight to Amplenote, as I think it is more practical, and plan to both subscribe, explore the use of it with my team, and then also promote it to my community in the games industry. Integration of my outlook email calendar is super useful.”
Adam“I’ve only been using Amplenote for a few weeks, but I can’t quite express how much I feel it’s fundamentally changed how I work and feel, which is immeasurably important given work is where I spend most of my time...I had no idea how to action them or how to remember them, but in Amplenote I can obviously write out a task, link it to the associated project (exams, module registration etc) and snoozing it until April is genuinely genius...Why doesn’t the idea execution funnel underpin all note-taking apps and facilitate this so easily and clearly? Because of this, I feel it’s the sort of app that anyone can use.”
Beth“I’ve tried them all (and still use a few) notetaking and reminder apps. However, I love your interface and that Amplenote incorporates the best features of others (i.e. Obsidian). The calendar integration is also AMAZEBALLS!”
Brent“By the way i totally fall in love for amplenote. this is the first time since 2 years that i didn’t opened my workflowy second brain for several days and made my dayily and week review into amplenote instead of workflowy.”
Jejous“Love the concept of combining calendar, task list, and notes. Especially being able to drag and drop tasks from a list onto a calendar. That is excellent and unique!”
Jordan“FYI - I produce videos for https://screencastsonline.com and I’m just in the process of completing my next big tutorial - which Is, of course, Amplenote. This is going to go out to a lot of customers, because we have a large user base so I’m sure you will see an uplift in subscriptions when we release the video towards the end of the month. I’ve finished my trial and paid for the full subscription, something I don’t often do when creating these tutorials so that’s a good sign!”
Lee“This app is perfect for my needs. Flexible but not too complex, and features are thoughtfully integrated into the UX in a way that aids flow and doesn’t add friction. The Google email and calendar integration is the killer feature that I needed and sealed the deal. The integrated pencil support on iPad is also amazing”
Moon“In playing around with Amplenote and watching some Youtube videos on how people use it, I've been really impressed by the flexibility, the ease of capture, and how it can become the one stop place for the text in your life...Amplenote seems like a tool that becomes more integral to your workflow, the more opportunity you give it.”
Myke“Score: 9/10. I read as much as I could about them and their company and I really liked what I found. They are self-funded and work hard to build an app with features driven by their users but not one that is overloaded with features.”
Stone“I'm really excited about what you are trying to do with ample note. I LOVE having notes, tasks, and calendar events be first-class citizens in this program.”
Timothy“I tried the program on web version and Android Version. I love it. I use it for work and personal, think and register info and notes and tasks. The function of email to notes of Amplenote is F A N T A S T I C”
TinoAmplenote is one of the few services I'm willing to pay premium for. Truly brilliant.
