👋 Greetings!
Today we're covering two topics:
linkRegional prices: Amplenote is cheaper in 25 countries (and counting)
Amplenote now has significantly fairer prices in 25+ countries when you use the iOS or Android app stores for purchasing a subscription. Over the years we've heard from many users, and the consensus was that in many countries paying 7 or more US dollars every month for a LifeOS app just isn't realistic. The updated prices on Android and iOS now reflect industry practices and purchasing power.
If buying a paid Amplenote subscription was not affordable for you in the past, make sure to check out the mobile app store (iOS page, Android page) of your device. We've lowered subscription prices in the 25 most popular countries by the number of users who find us on the app stores.
🧐 Two more things here:
If you live in a country that we didn't lower the prices for, reach out via email!
If you are already on a paid subscription purchased via our web app and would like to switch to the regionally priced one on mobile, there is a procedure for this.
linkBest paid Amplenote features: why to upgrade
Now let's go over some of the best features and use cases of Amplenote that you might be missing out on if you're a Personal-level user.
Everything covered below is unlocked if you purchase a Pro subscription, which is the most affordable Amplenote plan, priced at about the same as two coffees monthly ☕️ |
link📥 Capture tasks from anywhere (native desktop clients)
First off: the native desktop clients. Amplenote can be installed as a standalone application on your Windows, macOS, or Unix device. The most exciting ability that this unlocks is the global task capture hotkey.
We call it a "global" hotkey because as long as the Amplenote app is open in the background, you can press something like Ctrl-Shift-T
and start capturing a new task instantly. This is the fastest and most powerful way of capturing tasks that we built into Amplenote.
Beyond lightning-fast task capture, the desktop clients also let you jump to a note from anywhere, create real-time local backups of your notes, and use advanced search queries.
Download the desktop client here and use the settings menu to set it all up.
link📥 Capture voice notes on mobile and summarize them with AI (full-screen plugins)
If you've been sleeping on plugins, 2025 might be the year you reconsider? Since the initial release of plugins, we increased their capabilities dramatically, resulting in full-screen plugins and peek viewer plugins. This next-gen version of plugins let you do stuff like open pomodoro timers, draw inside your ntoes, create mindmaps and more.
But the workflow we're looking at in this section is for capturing voice notes and summarizing those notes into tasks using AI. Check out the video below to learn how that works!
link📚 Collaborate on notes and projects (shared tags & mirrored tasks)
First of all, if you don't have friends, family, or coworkers who use Amplenote, did you know that you can get a free month of Unlimited if you refer a person to our product and they subscribe?
If you do have friends, family, or coworkers who use Amplenote, shared tags are the best way to collaborate on multiple notes with multiple people. When you apply a shared tag to a new note, that note automatically gets shared with everyone that has access to the tag. Which means that if you use Jots Mode, every new daily jot you create under that tag automatically gets shared with everyone else ✨.
But it's with task mirroring that the true power of this system shines. Check out the video below to learn about ways to collaborate, delegate work, and update people on your progress using the shared tags and task mirrors power combo:
link📚 Organize complex projects with task dependencies and Eisenhower Matrix (full-screen plugins)
Task dependencies, or task blocking, let you hide a task until another task is completed. This comes in very handy on bigger projects where you don't want to see the whole list of future tasks but only the ones that you can do something about today.
Task dependencies are even more powerful when you can visualize them. Check out the video below for how you can use the Skilltrees plugin to paint a graph of your tasks:
link📆 Plan your week using Peek Viewer and task mirroring
Part of the magic of having an ever-present Peek Viewer sidebar is that you can manage complex to-do lists in an intuitive way. Also useful when making a plan from multiple to-do lists is the ability to create mirrored copies of your tasks. Here is a video explaining how to level up your planning using these features:
link🌎 Host a website using Amplenote (public notes)
Isn't it kinda crazy that all of the features and use cases mentioned so far are all available on a Pro-level subscription? Let's look into an Unlimited-level feature now.
Publishing notes is available with Unlimited+ subscriptions |

Founder-exclusive feature: remove public note branding |
"Founder" is the highest tier of subscriptions we offer, designed specifically for people who want to show us extra financial support. If you are a Founder-level subscriber, you get more tools for customizing how public ample-notes appear:

linkConclusion
Reminder: we've dropped subscription prices in 25 countries and counting if you use the mobile app stores to subscribe (iOS page, Android page). This means that if you haven't already, now is the best time to check out our paid plans and try these features for yourself.
These videos are very helpful to see some of the ways to use the new features. Would be great if we could drag tasks and hold shift or some modifier key to mirror, rather than having to use the mirror command and search for the note. Would be a great simple QoL improvement for the flow shown in "Plan your week using Peek Viewer and task mirroring".
The prices in the Uk changed quite substantially actually which is great, significantly lower than they used to be - I was able to go for the unlimited tier and get the vault notes which is super handy as I can write confidential notes and not worry about security.
1000% agree with Pablo about mirroring! Mirrors need some TLC to be fully-featured! I'll add this suggestion to that list: https://amplenote.featureupvote.com/suggestions/607252/task-controls-in-the-ui
