Most of the time, when a task is done, users will mark it as "Completed" (to remove it from the note) or "Crossed out" (to leave it in the note).
But there is a third way to mark a task as "done," and it carries a side benefit that is periodically requested by users: to remove the completed task from their calendar(s).

Via hotkey: In general, the fastest way to mark a task as dismissed is to position your cursor within the task text and to use the hotkey to dismiss a task:
macOS: Ctrl-Option-Space (aka Ctrl-Alt-Space or ⌃⌥␣

Via task action: When the cursor is within a task text, you can use !dismiss
(effectively, !di

Here's what happens when a task is dismissed:
The task is removed from all calendars
The task shows up in "Completed task" section of a note, but with a lighter formatting than the tasks that were marked complete
Half of the Task Score associated with the task is added to your daily "Completed Task Score"
