Full Professor of International Relations at the University of Brasilia, Brazil; Senior Research Fellow and Deputy director of the Center for Global Studies.
My primary interest for collaboration is currently centered on the topic of academic productivity. As I am in the process of authoring a book dedicated to scientific writing and scholarly effectiveness, I am keen to connect with researchers and academic professionals who share a similar focus. I would welcome opportunities to co-author articles, develop specialized workshops, or engage in broader research initiatives examining the methodologies and practices that foster sustained intellectual output in academia.
My current academic workflow comprises approximately 350 research notes and 60 distinct professional tasks.
I try to apply three main tactics for productivity:
1. Time Blocking: I set aside dedicated time for deep work like research and writing, separate from other duties.
2. Systematic Information Management: I use a structured system for managing literature and notes to streamline the writing process.
3. Harnessing Diffuse Focus: I make a point to capture ideas that arise from a more relaxed, wandering state of mind, channeling them back into my projects.
1. Authored and published over a dozen scholarly books and a significant portfolio of peer-reviewed scientific articles in high-impact journals.
2. Successfully conceived, secured funding for, and directed multi-year international research projects, which resulted in influential publications and policy contributions.
3. Served as the Editor-in-Chief for a leading scientific journal in the Global South, guiding it to achieve a top-quartile ranking (Q1) and establishing its reputation within the field of International Politics.

I’ve recently started using Amplenote and have already seen a positive shift in how I organize my work and personal life. As a university professor and researcher, I use it to manage tasks like lectures and research, while its notetaking helps me draft ideas and archive thoughts, boosting my productivity. I’ve recommended it to my students and colleagues for its effectiveness.
