As a power system engineer in India juggling complex technical projects and a new community education initiative, I might have found a note-taking panacea in Amplenote.
What sets Amplenote apart is how perfectly it bridges my worlds. For engineering work, the markdown support is allowing me to seamlessly plain text outputs and technical documentation. For our government education project, Daily Jots capture those quick insights during stakeholder meetings that would otherwise slip away, while the task system transforms discussions into concrete action items without switching contexts.
I've tried multiple alternatives - including Obsidian which I really like. But, that never-ending feeling of endless tinkering, or assembling foldable furniture - which takes aware from the idea of just taking notes to organizing the organizer. Amplenote's opinionated approach means I can focus on my actual work rather than configuring my tools.
The pricing is challenging, but the productivity gains are generally applicable. I'd be thrilled to share how Amplenote has streamlined both my technical documentation, project management, and community organizing with other professionals from India's perspective for others who face similar challenges. This transformed how I execute ideas across every domain of my life.
