Dear Amplenote Team,
I’m writing to you from a challenging position. I’m originally from Sri Lanka, a country that has faced significant political and economic turmoil, making it difficult for me to continue living there. I recently moved to Wales to pursue my studies and apply for a graduate work visa to support myself, but I’m currently unemployed and actively looking for a job.
Despite my current situation, I’m passionate about productivity tools and have tried numerous apps to improve my workflow. Over the years, I’ve explored many to-do list apps, including paid versions like TickTick, but none have offered the perfect combination of features I need—until I found Amplenote.
I absolutely love the features in your free plan, but the Pro version would be a game-changer for me for the following reasons:
Two-way Task Sync with Google Calendar or Outlook: I rely heavily on my calendar for organizing tasks. Syncing tasks seamlessly would significantly improve my workflow.
API Access: I tend to forget to set reminders for tasks, even when dates and times are set. I’d like to use the API to create an automation that ensures reminders are updated for my tasks automatically.
Mac Desktop App: As a heavy laptop user, the desktop app would help me always stay notified, even if the web app is closed.
Beyond these features, I’m passionate about Amplenote for its flexibility and unique capabilities. As a developer, I’m eager to explore plugin creation to enhance my workflow.
Additionally, I’ve been considering restarting my small YouTube channel with around 1500 subscribers to post tips and tutorials. I would love to create few videos about Amplenote, sharing my experience with others.
Right now, given my situation, I’m unable to afford the Pro version. A complimentary subscription for a few months would truly mean a lot and help me maximize Amplenote’s potential during this time until I find a full-time job.
Regardless of the outcome, I’ll continue to use Amplenote because I haven’t found any other tool that matches its features and usability. Even Todoist, which I used with Google Calendar, didn’t meet my needs due to limitations like project caps for 5 and no recurring tasks.
Thank you for considering my request, and for creating such a fantastic tool that has become an essential part of my daily life.
Best regards,
Salindu Hansaka
