What brings me to Amplenote is that Obsidian was too slow on mobile. Oh, and Amplenote has free no-bullshit sync between devices.
No. I don't have time. Go away. I only have time to work. And do laundry.
About 800 notes and how do I check the amount of tasks?? Tasks: too many
1. Add what must be done to your calendar of choice.
2. Check said calendar.
3. Do what it says on the calendar or else everyone you love will die.
--- okay okay, here's some actual methods...
1. 🧑💻 Second brain
An external system to capture, organize, and retrieve ideas efficiently, ensuring you never lose any valuable information. Also, you'll always have previous work to build upon so you'll never start from scratch.
2. ⏰ Night alarm clock
Use an alarm to remind yourself to wrap up whatever you're doing and initiate your nighttime routine. I schedule a recurring "sleep" event in Google Calendar and set it to notify me an hour in advance.
3. ⏲️ 5 minute rule and 321 method
It can be difficult to get started on your tasks. Make yourself spend 5 minutes on a task before deciding on whether to continue. If it's a struggle to do that then take a breath, count down from 3 and get started. Overcome the initial friction by not giving yourself time to second guess. E.g., instead of snoozing the alarm in the morning, simply roll over, count down from three, and get up.
- Finished school.
- Got a job.
- Failed to fix my sleep schedule.
- Sassing students.
- Helping students.
- Continue sassing students.
