An "Assigned Tasks Note" is a note that you create on behalf of allowing teammates to assign tasks for you to consider.
Usually, an Assigned Tasks Note is named something like "Bill's Tasks from Liam." This hypothetical note would be created by Bill, and shared with Liam.
In Bill's notebook, the Assigned Tasks note can be tagged with todo/collaborative
or similar. Assuming that the todo
base tag is included in your main Task Domain, Bill will see the tasks assigned to him when he visits his "Calendar" pane, which will include all tasks included in notes tagged with todo
. Whereas Liam (the teammate who assigned the task) will not see the tasks he assigned to Bill, because Liam's version of the note does not include a todo
tag.

The advantage of setting up an Assigned Tasks Note is that you can use Amplenote's existing Task Pane filters to easily see which tasks Liam has identified as "worth Bill's consideration."
By default, when Bill visits the Tasks pane, he will only see tasks that exist within notes he created:
An Assigned Tasks Note doesn't need to be 1-on-1 specific. Instead of creating a "Bill's Tasks from Liam," the note could instead by "Bill's Tasks from Project Eagle." By then sharing the note with all of his "Project Eagle" collaborators, Bill can easily filter his incoming tasks vs. the tasks he created himself.
