Last Chance Notice for Amplenote's Supporter Drive. Plus bullet journal, saved search, more...

We are down to the final two days of the Amplenote Supporter Drive, and whether we will hit our goal is looking VERY, VERY close as of late Wednesday July 10:

Our most fabulous subscribers have pushed us within 23% of seeing what happens when we light up that bright ball at the end of the meter.

If you're not already a Founder subscriber, can you help us close this out? Maybe buy an Amplenote subscription for a close friend or family member after they sign up? 😅

>> You can participate in the Amplenote supporter drive (sign up for an Amplenote subscription) here

As a (FINAL) reminder, we have 🎩 perks 🎩 available to those who either start a new subscription, or upgrade their existing one:

Themes: Access to two exclusive themes, Hypermodern and Sunburst. I've been on Hypermodern these past few weeks & dig it thoroughly.

Badge: If you keep an Amplenote profile, you'll get an exclusive theme only available to those who sign up during this drive

Special task complete animationS. Plus there are now TWO more exclusive supporter drive animations coming soon, since the drive hit its "50%" and "75%" goals already. Subscribe now or get more boring completion effects forever more.

T-shirt. Email our support address with your color preference (blue or gray) and size, if you live in the US and you became a new or upgraded subscriber during the Supporter Drive.

Here it is, the final opportunity to support a product that improves every month in its quest to help you focus your time on what is most Important to you.

linkWhat's new since the last blog update?

It's not just reaching the cusp of our supporter goal that has been on our mind lately. There have also been a features released that deserve a look.

linkFive Minute Bullet Journal - Question template to calibrate daily energy + more

A new plugin that could be worth a look if you're trying to make a habit out of gratitude, daily journaling, or incremental goal setting: Bullet Journal. It offers a daily jot suggestion, and a Quick Open action (type log), to create a daily note with the following template:

A smart way to start the day: with high impact Qs recommended by Tim Ferriss

The plugin optionally keeps a separate, color-coded table of your daily mood ratings. You can skip the mood rating with escape if you just want a template. The final perk (so far) is that each of the "Gratitude," "Highlights," and "Learned from today" sections reference durable notes that collect backlinks, so during weekly/quarterly review, it's convenient to go finding patterns in these important domains.

Also relevant: A blog post on the relative merits of paper vs. electronic when it comes to Bullet Journals in general.

linkNamed tag/search shortcuts

In 3-pane mode (where the Shortcut list is visible within "Jots" and "Notes" modes), it's now possible to rename searches that you have set up.

Desktop search offers options to save search as shortcut, open in graph view, not search all contents

After saving this tag (and potentially some extra filter text), the saved shortcut can be renamed to something more easily readable:

Named shortcuts have the full range of emojis and capitalization available

For people who feel constrained by the consistency rules of tag hierarchies, named shortcuts are a great way to let you enhance the visibility of note groups (or note graphs) that you hope to visit at regular intervals.

linkAnd more...

We're out of time for a full write-up, but also:

Invoking task action of !due now mirrors functionality of !start, since it's more natural for some people to think in terms of the former

New task action !set task score allows you to set a task's Task Score to an exact value

Guide to using markdown in plugins . Learn how to insert colored text, Rich Footnotes, tables, blank lines, and more in the plugins that you create as you pursue what has ballooned to more than $20,000 in bounties we're currently offering. 😮
