2024 Amplenote Supporter Drive

June 28 marks the beginning of Amplenote's first Supporter Drive! 🎉🎉 and we've brought plenty of presents for all of our active users who have been on the fence about subscribing to Amplenote.

In a month of big releases (including the release of your top-rated feature request 🚀), we're humbly requesting the support of our community to help us hit a goal of growing revenue 50% over the previous month. We'll be tracking our progress toward this goal on the same page where you can sign up to dig into your Supporter Drive gifts:

Our community has helped us climb to the cusp of profitability, but we need an extra boost to arrive in a future where we will have enough paying subscribers for us to invest more heavily in upgrades to AmpleCap, widgets, and all of the hundreds of excellent suggestions that we're pursuing through our public and supporter voting boards.

If you have the means to help support Amplenote, please join us and we can continue building the notes, tasks and calendar app driven by user request.

link✨ What's coming next

As mentioned above, we just finished launching the #1 voted feature from our public voting board, Highlighted Full Text Search results. Not only that, but the release of highlighted search results has also been paired with a couple other highly-requested search upgrades.

Your #1 voted feature....completed again

Next up? We're killing two birds with one stone: Our #1 and #2 Supporter Voting board features (to allow chaining tasks together in interesting ways) are both underway, and anticipated to be announced with our next official product blog, in 6-10 weeks.

If you've been around Amplenote for awhile, hopefully you've picked up on the frequency with which we keep on launching #1 voted features. Why do we give so much attention to following customer orders vs. more dazzling features like white boards? We believe that if we keep doing right by our customers, they will recognize the effort we are putting in, and will reciprocate by financially supporting our development. 🙏

link🎁 Supporter Drive Benefits

Blah blah blah, now what happened to these presents we were touting a few paragraphs ago, anyway?!

The presents in question are gifts that we are offering EXCLUSIVELY to users who have already signed up as paid subscribers, or who sign up during the Supporter Drive.

linkExclusive Theme: Sunburst 🌞

Your notes will be walking on sunshine with this bright, high-energy dazzler (0% proven to reliably reduce symptoms of SAD 👨‍⚕️). Subscribe during the Supporter Drive to get permanent access to this theme throughout the lifetime of your Amplenote subscription. After the drive, this theme will be available only to Founder subscribers.

linkExclusive Theme: Hypermodern 🧊

A theme as cool as Sunburst is warm, Hypermodern is a cool, dark, icy lake in which to dip your thoughts. Subscribe now to get permanent access to this theme throughout the lifetime of your Amplenote subscription. After the drive, this theme will only be available to Founder subscribers.

linkExclusive Completion Effects

These will be getting released as Easter Eggs throughout the Supporter Drive, based on how we're progressing toward our goal. 🌟

The first new celebration of your achievement (for those tuned in to Dazzle-level effects) ought to feel familiar to the classic gamer set:

Cha-ching

If we reach 50%, 75% and 100% of our goal, we'll release additional fun effects for those looking to be entertained when they've completed a challenging task.

These completion effects will periodically show when completing high value tasks with "Dazzle" effect level chosen. They will not be available to those who begin their Amplenote subscription after the completion of this drive.

linkExclusive Profile Badge

Damn straight we got that swag:

The Amplenote Supporter badge will be given to all Amplenote customers who have made their first payment (+ remain ongoing members) before the end of the Supporter Drive.

linkAmplenote T-Shirt (New subscribers + U.S. residents only)

Since we need to conserve inventory, we unfortunately couldn't afford to send a t-shirt to all of our existing several-thousand subscribers. But, if you sign up anew (or if you upgrade your subscription, or if you upgrade to Annual from monthly) during the Supporter Drive, email our support address with the color (blue or gray) and size (S-XL) and we'll send you one of these fine specimens at the conclusion of the Supporter Drive.

Mailing t-shirts outside the country is super-expensive ($50+), so this particular offer only applies to subscribers residing in the USA. Sorry.

link😅 Support Development of a Tool Built to Last?

As we outline in our Longevity Pledge, we've made plans to ensure that Amplenote will be here for you as long as you need a world-class notes/tasks/calendar tool.

That said, since we're not raising investment from venture capitalists,

linkWe are especially dependent on our users to prove that an app like Amplenote deserves a place among the incredibly crowded note/task/calendar space.

If you're a Personal subscriber that has used Amplenote daily, we would especially appreciate you reconsidering whether you can fit $6 or $10 into your monthly budget? 🙏

link😎 If You Sign Up

We generally recommend beginning your subscription via our web site, since it allows us more granular control over your subscription in the future, if you want to make changes. When signing up through the app stores, we have moderately less ability to fulfill support inquiries that pertain to modifying your membership.

Thanks for supporting us during our first-ever Supporter Drive!

Plot twist

Thanks for stopping by the Amplenote blog. Did you know that the content of this "blog post" is just a plain old note, lifted from the author's Amplenote notebook? Rich footnotes, industry-leading to-do lists, and a security-first mindset make us a solid option for modern writers. Try it out yourself.
